The Village at Voorhees Review
Very safe community. Just very expensive

good but expensive
really nice, free of bugs and close by to lots of things, but be careful - they raise the rent year to year and it’s already expensive

Great place to live and close to Stratford campus
I really like this apartment complex! It’s close to school. Amenities are awesome. Comfortable and neighbors are normal.

Good apartment!
Kind of on the smaller side, especially the kitchen, but has in unit laundry and ample parking. It’s conveniently located to many restaurants and shops and is a 5 minute drive from campus. The train station is close by as well. Minimal closet space.

A studio apartment; the Village at Voorhees
My studio is very much tucked away in the corner of the complex; explicitly turned away from the path of the sun. Despite this, the sun gets around, and plays off the nearby forestry very nicely, so I can at least say that the second-hand bounce-lighting is fairly optimal. The neighbors seem amiable, and specifically the people shoved into the same corner as me have been very nice and understanding, when it came to moving in. Parking can get tight the later at night you return home; be prepared to have to look around for a parking space for a bit, especially if someone is hosting a party, or if it's particularly stormy out.
I live in a studio, so understandably the floor-plan is fairly small. Even so, the little space that I have is laid out very nicely. The Kitchen/Laundry machines (yes!!!! There are personal laundry machines here in the apartment, and yes!!!! You don't have to worry about the water bill!!!) is separated from the rest of the living space by a Breakfast bar, which I find to be a very nice touch. When I first moved in, the landlord have the walls repainted and the carpet replaced, which was very very nice of her. However, the closets don't have anywhere to place hangers (I had to install a spare shower-rod to hang my clothes), and some of the fixtures surrounding the bathtub has mold and serratia/pink grout growing from within it's crevices. Said fixtures protrude out from the wall in such a way, that it is unfortunately difficult to clean between those crevices without any specialized tools. Even so, everything listed above so far have more or less been small grievances, that I can easily overlook, due to all of the amenities that I have been provided.
The only really big complaint I have (the kind that makes me actually genuinely frustrated) was how the Management's Supervisor (specifically that one supervisor) handled my faulty cabling. How internet works here is that the Village has a partnership with xfinity, which means that if you have an internet problem, Management tells you to talk to an xfinity technician; not them. After a whole summer of my wifi going out with every errant thunderstrike in the vicinity, and Xfinity technician finally realized that the problem was localized to my studio alone, due to faulty cabling. It turns out that the cables aren't installed properly, and so there's a huge hole in the ceiling of the boiler room, where the cables come down from the attic, and those cables needed to be replaced. Management had previously assured me that if I called them on the day of the most recent technicians arrival (yes, this took multiple technicians to fix...), that they would let said technician into the attic. Come the day of, and not only does the technician tell me that a notice was supposed to be sent to the 3rd floor residents so that he could legally access the attic (assumed that management would take care of this; to this day, I still don't know what went wrong there), but also I suddenly get a call from the leasing office, telling me that "because noone else is experiencing wifi issues, my supervisor is telling me that I can't grant the technician access to the roof." I don't blame the women who run the leasing office; they have been doing a wonderful job. It just baffles me how some random white-collared, outdated-yuppie from Texas could get it in his head that I must somehow be lying about the faulty wiring in my apartment! Thankfully, my technician found a workaround by working with the cables from the roof, rather than from the attic, so I managed to get my cables replaced in the end.

Expensive but spacious and fine-enough
There is no central AC/heat, so the unit is cooled and heated by an external unit (like a hotel) which is quite loud. It is also an older apartment building so not everything is renovated. However, management is very responsive and have been helpful when needed. I feel safe in the area. It is only a <5 min drive from the Stratford campus and near many other apartment complexes that RowanSOM students live at, which comes to be convenient.

Village at Voorhees
If you want to be close to the Stratford campus (and the Lindenwold PATCO station), the Village is a great spot. Management is responsive, apartments have enough space, and the rent isn't bad, though you do have to budget for the gas/electric bill. They've got a pool and gym as well. Many SOM students live at the Village or nearby.

Apartment
The apartment was renovated before move in. They made the leasing process super easy for me especially as I am no longer working. Everything was quick and straight forward. Our leasing officer responded right away to any questions me and my roommate had.

Affordable, Quiet, Med School Apartment
My fiancée and I are going on our second year living here. It has been a great experience so far, and it is also likely the cheapest 2 bedroom place one could find around the area. I live 3 minutes from Stratford campus, have two gyms at my disposal, multiple walking trails, and two pools open during the summer. The village is also pet-friendly, with just a minor extra monthly fee.
