Space, affordable price, and a great location
I really love my apartment. It's located in the heart of the Central West End. I have a Schnuck's, Whole Foods, Forest Park, Movie Theater, the train, and 4 Gyms all within a 10-15 minute walk of my building. I've been car free for the last 10 years and have no aspirations to own a car so this works perfect for me, especially since St. Louis is a very car centric city. I'm also walking distance from a lot of classmates apartments which creates a great sense of community. Some of my favorite bars and restaurants are only 2-3 blocks away. The building is an older building but it's well kept. Laundry is in-building and I would say most of the people in the building are either grad students or couples so it's quite which I tend to like. MY unit faces south so I get natural light throughout the day. The sun rises in my bedroom and sets in my living room which has 4 large windows total.
