Great place to live during law school

Dearing Courtyard has been a great place to live. It's essentially 1-1.5 miles from everything - downtown, the law school, the stadium, Five Points, and Normaltown. Transit is pretty good in this area. The Milledge route stops two blocks away and it's just a few minutes to the Arch and then a short walk through campus to the law school. The late night Prince-Milledge route stops at the same location. There are also ACC transit routes that stop a block away on Broad and there are stops for the Health Sciences route about a quarter of a mile away in two directions. There seems to be more than enough parking for everyone who lives here and there's a stone wall around the entire small complex which makes it feel secure. There is a pool, though I have never seen anyone use it so I'd look somewhere else if that's an extremely important amenity to you. There is ample storage--my unit has two closets in each bedroom, a linen closet in the hall, a walk-in pantry off the kitchen, and a laundry closet. My neighbors have occasionally been a little loud, but this isn't a party complex--though there are several fraternities and sororities nearby. The units are managed by various property management companies and individuals; I rent from 3Tree Realty and they've been fine. The pet policy likely varies from unit to unit, but there are both cats and dogs in the complex. Overall, I would definitely recommend Dearing Courtyard if a unit is available.
