Expensive but worth it

WIldforest is pricey, but there are many benefits to living here. The location to Samford as well as surrounding communities is very convenient. My drive to Samford is around 5 minutes and I never have traffic. The apartments are also very safe; no security gate is needed and I never feel in danger. Maintenance and staff usually reply in a timely manner.

Wildforest Review

The apartment and complex itself is very nice and I enjoy living here. The reason for a 6 is because the staff and maintenance are at best mediocre at their jobs. They aren't fully upfront about apartment pricing and will give misleading prices. Assume actual rent is ~ $200 more at least than what they tell you. They are also very bad at communication and hardly ever pick up the phone or respond to emails, so you'll have to go in in person to talk with them. Maintenance can be quick but it can also take a while and they may just ignore your requests.

Great Property

I have loved living at Wildforest! It is a clean, safe community. Management does a great job of encouraging our community here on the property with events and give aways which makes living here even more fun!

Wildforest

The apartment itself is pretty nice. There have been small things that were in need of fixing but the service department handled it pretty quickly. Since the complex is under semi-new management there have been some hiccups in the leasing office but everyone is friendly and willing to help. There are two pools and a gym. There is an Amazon hub. It is very dog friendly - no breed or weight restrictions.

Wildforest Apartments

Very close to campus. A lot of Cumberland students live at Wildforest and a lot of Samford/UAB undergrad students live here as well. It is a very safe community and the proximity to school is unbeatable.

Wildforest Apartments

Wildforest Apartments are in a great location for someone who doesn’t want to live right downtown. They are located right off of Highway 31. It is a 10 minute drive to Volker, and traffic on the drive is not bad at all. It is a 1 minute drive from a Target that is equipped with a full grocery/produce section and a Fresh Market. It is also minutes away from tons of restaurants and shops in both Homewood and Vestavia. It is one of the closest apartment complexes to Samford University, so most residents are college-age students. There is always available parking right in front of each building, and it is a very safe area. I have never felt unsafe taking my dog out in the middle of the night or coming home late at night after a day of studying.

The only down side to Wildforest is that it is not directly downtown, but I think that being so close to all of the shops and restaurants in Homewood makes up for that. Additionally, you can expect to pay extra for cable/wifi and for electricity/gas. With that being said, the rent price is reasonable, and it is worth it for the nice units they have available!
