James and Harrison Court Apartments Review
cannot beat the convenience of being close to school

Not a sanitary living space
We have multiple mice living in the apartment and management won’t do anything about it despite our numerous requests. Maintenance has found nests and families of mice living inside of the apartment. Sanitary issues aside the rent/parking costs are incredibly high for students who are unable to have a steady job.

Rent
Great location. Close to the school, expensive but gives the chance to explore the nice part of the city. EXTREMELY CONVENIENT.

Good amenities, very expensive
While not the most expensive for Boston, this location is quite pricey. This complex does have 24/7 concierge, a gym, and private spaces. The surrounding streets can be quite loud and chaotic but the building itself is safe

NO HEAT FOR ALL OF WINTER
The heat pump went out, I literally did not have heat for 4 months from November to March. I had to get the Boston housing authority involved for them to do anything. Also poor value with much better amenities in other nearby apartment complexes

Well Managed
Very happy to live at James and Harrison Court. While the rent is on the higher side, the management is very responsive, the gym is nice for an apartment gym, and the location is the best you can have for being at BU Med.

Nice Apartments Near Med Campus
Apartment complex with lots of students and medical professionals who work at BMC. Management is very responsive, there is a door man who is almost always there. Only a block away from where the BU Shuttle stops at the med campus, so easy and free access to the main campus.

Poor management
The management is not responsive. My apartment in Harrison building has this humming noise 24-7. They could not solve the problem and I had to move out after two weeks.

No broker fee or last month's rent, and conveniently 2 minutes from campus
I've really enjoyed living at James Court. The location is incredibly convenient, as it is right across the street from the back entrance to the medical school. The rent is somewhat high, but the lack of a broker's fee does help significantly reduce the annualized cost. The building is relatively new feeling, has central air, has laundry on each floor, and is pet-friendly.
