Parkway Terrace

It's a convenient location both to campus as well as to grocery stores and downtown (Mass St.) life. The neighborhood is quiet and easily navigated by car, bike, bus, or walking. The rent is affordable especially with a roommate(s). No current or past issues with the office or maintenance.

The unit itself is very spacious and we received it clean. Apart from having to change the lock (because it was not working correctly) we have had no need for maintenance requests as everything that came with the apartment is in perfect shape.

However, moving in we had a ticks problem and it took us a while to have it under control. Even know we have to apply insecticide weekly as ticks and spiders constantly enter through the vents and the windows. Furthermore, the building itself is rundown and the hallways are dirty (there was also a broken window for a whole month). There is also no elevator and the stairs are a little shaky. It was difficult to get furniture upstairs and I get tired of just thinking to take everything downstairs again.

So far there has not been any issues with parking or the neighbors, but I find the security lacking (there are no cameras nor locks in the building). If I did not have a roommate I would be very nervous to live here. Finally, the walls seem very fragile and the paint used stains easily.
