Good price and good location

This place is typical for Westwood. Not luxury but the location is great and management gets stuff done when you need them to.

Quiet Apartment with a Sweet Landlord

My roommates and I have resided in one 2B2B unit in Westwood Plaza Apartments for four years. Rent is $3,350.00 per month and also covers water and trash utilities as well as one outdoor tandem parking spot. Our Property Manager lives on-site and is very responsive to our requests for maintenance, but sometimes, when maintenance does not show up when scheduled, we need to remind her of our requests.
Our unit, and presumably most units, was recently renovated and is spacious and comfortable to live in. However, our unit seems poorly insulated, and there is no central AC. Sometimes, it is colder inside our unit than it is outside.
Besides that, we have had no issue with our unit. Westwood Plaza Apartments is relatively quiet because residents keep to themselves. But, since we live near the UCLA Hill, undergraduate students often pass by on their way down to Westwood and parties and tend to be loud on Thursday and Friday nights. This is not a serious issue though, because the undergraduate students only pass by and party far enough from our apartment so as not to be heard.
Overall, Westwood Plaza Apartments is a near-perfect place for students to stay. It is located directly across from the UCLA Hill, so I can be on campus within 5 minutes, on South Campus within 10 minutes, and on North Campus within 20 minutes. It is also located near several bus stops but not BruinBus stops.
