Icon reviews and highlights
- Surrounded by endless shopping and restaurants
- Few blocks from Rittenhouse Square
- Several conference rooms, a movie room, and one of the best roof decks in Philly
- I appreciate the hardwood floors and walk-through closets
- Cold storage is convenient
- Love the building
- Management has been very kind to us and always responds to our questions in a timely, professional manner
- Very quiet
- Definitely a bit pricey, but worth it
- Units are spacious and well designed
- Great facilities, nice and helpful staff, and lots of Wharton residents
- The roof has the most spectacular view of the city
- Great modern building that just opened up this past summer (2014)
- Gym is outstanding
- Roof deck is great
- Location is excellent as the building is right in the heart of Center City
- New building with tons of amenities (e.g. Roof deck, gym, lounge area, bike storage, and cold storage)
Great location
Love living at Icon, enough Wharton students to Uber to class and occasionally run into classmates without it being overwhelming. The common spaces are beautiful and the apartment is awesome, lots to love.

Great area and apartment, unresponsive management
I have been at Icon for about 2 months and am very happy with the building, amenities, maintenance/front desk staff, security and my apartment.
It was a HUGE hassle and stress trying to communicate with management after sending in my rental application and waiting to hear if the application was approved (they were simply not responsive for several days and did not include my broker on communication), but it ended up working out in the end.

Mostly a Great Building
Pros: Very nice apartments, big windows, great rooftop and amenities, and decent pricing for what you get.
Cons: Terrible management and a few blocks further east of where most other law students live.

Good location
Love the apartment, it has a gym and a lovely rooftop area. I appreciate the 24 hour concierge. It's in a good location with quick access to everything including public transport.

Amazing property - 2 blocks too far
This building is great - the amenities are a major highlight. There is a gym, movie theater, lounge with pool table, roof, full kitchen & hosting space. The actual apartments are modern & spacious. My other MBA friends are always so pleasantly surprised seeing my space.
The cons are that living here means you’re just out of the center of MBA life - literally about 2 blocks away but as a woman walking home late at night after a party those 2 blocks become problematic at times. Also, this building is less social amongst MBAs (which can be nice at times because you don’t run into someone every time you get into the elevator so your home is a safe comfortable space).

Great apartment, bad management
I love my apartment. The building is in a great location, the apartment is spacious, and the amenities are relatively new. However, the lease is terrible (e.g. automatic 10% annual rent increase & no subletting) and management is unwilling to negotiate or offer flexibility on any terms. I would still recommend living here, but just beware.

Nice Building
The apartments are nice and they are clean, laundry/dryer in unit which is a huge plus.
There is both a lounge (With free coffee, pool tables, theatre area, and a conference room) and a gym (although limited in size)
There are a lot of students/young people living in the building which is nice
Building gets both Verizon and Comcast (Id choose Verizon to avoid service outages)
Management is generally fine, although a bit unresponsive and slow to fix issues on occasion
There is a doorman who checks in packages to the storage room (helps to avoid anyone stealing them) and will sign for them if necessary
There is a parking garage in the building but it is expensive and the company that operates it is terrible

Rittenhouse Square Reviews
Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
