Connecticut Gardens

Quiet building. Variety of residents. Very responsive maintenance crew. Secure mail room with unique code access. Fantastic location as two blocks from AdMo and next to Kalorama Park. Very family friendly area. Street parking not too bad but can be a challenge from 6-8pm. Great rooftop with complimentary access to grill. No pool. Has covered parking access, but it's very expensive at $175/month. Small gym in basement. Does the job but not amazing. New laundry machines - rarely fully occupied. Bummer for no in unit W/D. Apartment itself is massive nearly 800 sq ft but the kitchen lack counter space and is kind of narrow. Great living area with a dining room. Good water pressure. No central heating, window A/C units available but they work well.

This is an Amazing Apartment

Neighbors are great, not much noise at all. Everybody minds their business. There's a great new gym and the rooftop is exceptional at night with a new electrical grill installed. Laundry is more convenient now with a pick up and go locker. Parking also is very clutch.

Homey!

I have really enjoyed living in Connecticut Gardens. They just added a new gym and a rooftop building. I lived in Foggy Bottom as an undergrad so I wanted some space from the University for law school, and have really enjoyed living in such a beautiful green area!

Wonderful place to live

I can't say enough nice things about Connecticut Gardens. The building is in a great location and the management has been really good about improving the amenities (rooftop, fitness center) for residents. The newly renovated units have stainless steel and granite and look beautiful. The surrounding area is fairly quiet and feels very safe. I'd highly recommend this building to anyone moving to DC!

Adams Morgan Reviews

I love living in Adams Morgan. There are so many parks, recreational centers, bars, and restaurants. Whenever friends want to get together, I never have to go far. I also love that there are not many chain amenities, so you’re really supporting local businesses. The night life can lean a little toward the younger college crowd, but it’s also easy to head toward DuPont or U St if you’re looking for something a little different.
Great cafes and restaurants and amazing night life. Not close to a metro stop.
1818 Riggs is situated in the northern Dupont Circle neighborhood, immediately surrounded by residential buildings but within walking distance of Connecticut Ave NW, 18th St NW, and 14th St NW. Very hospitable and convenient for all amenities needed.
Great mix of tree lined streets with pretty old brick homes and restaurants, coffee shops, nightlife, etc. Near Rock Creek Park for an escape from city life and exercise. Near the zoo for fun time off. Convenient quality grocery stores within walking distance (Harris Teeter, Safeway, etc.). Dog park down the street. Families with children playing outside into the evening.
Adams Morgan has a great mix of families and young professionals, which means blend of coffee shops, grocery stores, and restaurants and bars. The neighborhood looks incredibly different in day vs. at night -- so has something for everyone. Public transport isn't ideal (no metro stop and not a ton of buses) but is a great place to live and can get most places in the city pretty easily.
Like I said before, it is a really active and full part of town with a lot going on. I've come across several families who live in my building alone, and overall (besides some of the chaos that happens up in AdMo come the weekend) it's a great and safe area to live in.
Adams Morgan is a great neighborhood. There are shops and restaurants in the heart of the neighborhood. Everything is walking distance. It’s reasonably safe. There’s access to public transportation.
Adams Morgan is incredible for bars and restaurants. There is always something happening in the neighborhood. On the weekends it overflows with people coming in for a fun night.
