Pros and Cons of 660 Washington

I think 660 Washington is very convenient for being a 10 minute walk to school especially during the winter time and when it rains. It is a very modern building with modern apartments, but the rent is very expensive. The building has many tenants, but it is an undergraduate friendly building and tenants have many parties during the weekend and week with loud music coming through the walls and people talking in the hallways. It has a nice gym, pool, work areas, and 24/7 concierge that picks up packages and lets tenants know through text and email. The neighborhood is fine, but it’s always prudent to have city vision when walking around.

Great living area for students

There are lots of other students in the building - including Tufts and Northeastern students. There is a rooftop with connected indoor area, 2 lounges, and a dedicated study room where you can rent office space or just use the open desks. So, there are plenty of places to study. The gym and pool are great and kept up well.

I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!

4 minute walk to school everyday is super convenient, I spend most of my studying time in the apartment study rooms and mini “offices”, the apartment has an indoor pool open year round, multiple large common areas to host, fantastic front desk service for packages, maintenance is super efficient when needed

great location

The location was hard to beat - it was less than 5 minute walk to campus, and close to several T lines, and in the heart of downtown. I loved going for walks on the Common, Park, or Charles River.
The staff was super friendly and maintenance was great.
I ended up leaving because the rent went up too high (I got in during Summer 2020 when prices were much more reasonable.)

Okay

Rent is too expensive but it is near school which allows me to get to class despite my disability. The gym and pool allow me to exercise and PT my disabilities which is great and very convenient. Too many parties thrown by neighbors.

I like the apartment

Too many students and a lot of noise in the hall ways even at 3am, people are not considerate and they party all the time, but even so, the management is super and the location is great.
I hope in the future they will not be so desperate to rent to those asian and arabic students who have tons of money but zero education and culture.

Near park, food, shopping, and financial district

The location is ideal because it is near downtown Boston and park street which leads to everywhere around Boston. Unfortunately, the subway closes early on the earlier side so often a taxi or Uber is needed for later nights. There's also a gym inside the apartment which is easy to use and there's parking available which is a huge plus for me. It can get noisy on weekends but hey, it's downtown and somewhat near the club area so that's a pro and con.

Convenient location but could use a better view

Great location and this was the main deciding factor because it's a 3 minute walk from entertainment (movie theater), great restaurants in downtown crossing and Chinatown, and near park street which made public transit very easy to use! The only downside, when compared to some of the other premium priced apartments around Boston, is the view. It's basically situated inside Chinatown so you can't see Boston Common out your window. Not much else to complain about! Everything works very well inside the apartment and management is quick at fixing anything that breaks down.

Chinatown Reviews

Chinatown is beautiful and super fun to walk around/explore. At night however some streets can be a little shady.
There's a Chinatown grocery market nearby along with a movie theater, boston common, and easy access to the park street MBTA stop which makes it very easy to travel around Boston.
The food around us is great! I also love the environment because there is always something to do. We are also close to the red green and orange lines and we are also close to South Station which is great if you're wanting to take Amtrak one weekend for a getaway. The neighborhood is relatively safe and I have never had a problem walking by myself. Chinatown is also a 10 minute walk to New England Law so it is a great commute!
Chinatown has great cheap food. Sometimes it can feel unsafe at night, but during the day it feels ok. There is a big presence of med/dental students and employees of Tufts Medical center
I loved the location, but I did not really explore much of Chinatown.
Great food!
