The building is a bit old, and the decor is very dated. There is a very small gym which costs $5/month to use. There is laundry in the basement.

There are a variety of layouts within each apartment type. The kitchen is very small. They recently installed an Amazon locker in the basement. There is also a seasonal rooftop.

Baystate Apts in DuPont Circle

This apartment building provides the convenience of living in the middle of the city while still reasonably close to campus by Metro bus, GUTS bus or by car. The idea of living in a residential area like Glover Park or Burleith didn't appeal to me so DuPont is the perfect location for both convenience and city living. Although the building is on the older side, the rent is reasonable for the prime location. Rent includes all utilities except internet and has access to gym, laundry facilities and rooftop deck. Staff is responsive to maintenance issues (which were minimal to begin with). Do expect to have rent increase every year ranging in the 2-4% depending on the year.

Great neighborhood. Very walkable, even at night I always feel safe. Usually lots of people out and about. Young community, lots of bars and some awesome restaurants. Farmers markets and outside concerts in the warm months. Easy access to foggy bottom metro (15min walk) and dupont metro (5 min walk). Lots of green space (rock creek park). Georgetown 20 min walk with great shopping. 20 min walk to AdMo with great restaurants/bars
I love the neighborhood! Perfectly situated between Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. Walking distance to campus, while still being separate enough to feel independent. Tons of restaurants, bars, and stores around. The neighborhood feels very safe but is quiet and residential, too.
Dupont Circle is a great area. I like that my block feels very residential, but I'm close to convenience stores, the Metro, and only a 15-20 minute walk to the law school. Sometimes I walk over to Georgetown, which is nice.
I have never felt unsafe walking home at night from campus. The area is mostly embassies and very fancy apartments and townhouses.
could not be happier. i love having a safe space away from the law school
West End is amazing! Such great restaurants and stores around!
Amazing food and restaurants all within walking distance
Hamilton House is located in the crossings of West End, Foggy Bottom, and DuPont. It is a very clean, classy area. Super incredible how you can walk down the street to old-town DC, walk down another street and its all clubs and bars of DuPont, walk the other direction and its GW, walk another direction and its DuPont circle and all the incredible food. This is an ideal location, especially being situated right in between Foggy Bottom / GW Metro stop and the DuPont Metro stop.
