Friendly Staff
Friendly stuff, directly across the street from PG Plaza Mall, two blocks away from the PG Plaza Metro Station. Very convenient for someone who does not have a car and wants to have a space with their own room and restroom. There is a shuttle that takes students to and from Howard Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. there's a full kitchen and there is a Safeway store, Target, and Giant grocery store nearby.

Prepare for Gentrification
My experience at what was once known as "UTC" will soon resemble nothing of the experiences of the new "Vie Towers" residents. Aside from extreme renovations to the facilities and my 15th floor apartment (which is being transformed as an exclusive penthouse suite), new residents can expect a huge increase in rent.
Not sure how long until the provided shuttles to and from campus will cease to exist, though they turbulently served their purpose for my time here, and for that I am grateful. Having a gym directly downstairs was also a blessing. I wish the printer downstairs printed in color, since there are also no color printers on campus.
I also dislike the way that maintenance can come and go freely through the apartment. This is not only dangerous, but also violates personal privacy.

Lived in this apartment complex for 2 years
Vie Towers is a great place for upperclassmen students who desire to be off campus. Vie Towers is located right across from PG Plaza Mall, the metro station, movie theatre, and two grocery stores and plenty of restaurants. Not to mention this apartment caters to college students and offers free shuttle service that runs from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM. The apartment is currently being updated with wood floors in the bedrooms, new appliances, and new furniture!

Currently Transitioning to Something Great
New management has taken over the apartment complex and current renovations are taking place. New floors and appliances have been installed in all rooms and the changes look really nice. Updated gym, pool area, rooftop, and study lounge are great added amenities that I can appreciate. Howard shuttle every half hour is super convenient and saves money for travel/parking costs— making it worth staying in my opinion

You get what you pay for
At the Towers, you get what you pay for. They are in the process of upgrading the appliances and furniture which is great because the old furniture was out of date and falling apart. There are a bunch of Howard University undergrad students living here as well as undergrad students from other schools. There are a few grad/professional students here as well. But basically, it's always noisy and things can get frustrating when you're a grad student and you're living with undergrad students. The location is great though which is why I have decided to stay in addition to the shuttle that takes you to and from Howard for free.

Convenient
UTC is a good and convenient place to live. There are shopping centers such as Target, Giant, Safeway walking distance away. There is a mall also across the street. A new management took over ans started implementing renovations therefore the rent prices are being increased. Besides that, it is a good place to live.

Great service and quality facilities
I appreciate the property because I have my own room with my own bathroom. That was the main reason I love the place on top of the shuttle to campus. The property is really secure but I do wish there were key scanners instead of the key card. Its annoying when the card breaks and it would be foolproof.

Convenient but expensive
I’ve lived at this apartment for 10 months and it’s been interstekmg. They charge for electricity and parking so my rent is usually $1035 in total. They were recently bought by a new management company called Vie so the new name is Vie Towers. This new management has been much better. They are renovating everyone’s apartments. The rent is still pretty high for student living but it’s really convieniet. A shuttle that goes to Howard and univerisity of Maryland, right next to the Mall at Prince Georges and the movies is right behind us. I don’t plan on leaving because of the convieniece.
