Great value for location

It's an older motel style complex(10 different buildings scattered around a central parking lot).

Pros: The pool and view of downtown is great. A lot of cool parks and restaurants within walking distance. There's a bus stop right outside the complex. One of the lowest prices on a two-bedroom anywhere in the city. Very very close to our child's school Colibri. If you are a parent looking for daycare I would highly recommend this complex and the school.

Cons: It's an old building built in the 60's, the fixtures aren't great and the floors aren't level. Only one bathroom. Also a 15-min drive or a 40ish -min bus ride from the law school. I enjoy taking the bus, but have had a few close calls getting to class on time because of delays. Have to pay for washing/drying machines

Comfortable & Walkable to downtown, parks, & night life

The Timbercreek Apartments are just south of downtown Austin perfect for professionals who work in downtown or want to be within walking distance to the Palmer Event Center, Town Lake hike and bike trails, and Zilker Park. The complex has two laundry rooms, a new gym (2015), and a nice pool with a view of downtown. The property management is courteous and responsive to completely fix any issues that may arise.

Not the best, but far from the worst I've lived in.

The apartment has been great. Especially the location near downtown. It's walkable to the river, downtown, South Congress, and so so much more. It's not the best apartment, but it is far from the worst I've lived in. The flow of the apartment is comfortable.

Happy with Timbercreek

The apartments themselves are tired; the kitchen and bathroom especially could use new appliances and plumbing. However, the price is right (the cheapest close to downtown!), and management is great. They're very responsive to maintenance requests, and the employees in the leasing office know every resident by name. It's very impressive!

Great location and VERY dog friendly

The location is absolutely amazing and is the main selling point of living here. They also have an amazing pet policy - no size restrictions and discounts on deposit if you adopted! They're making improvements to the amenities (updated washer/dryers, gym, etc.), but the apartments are definitely older - and come with older apartment issues on occasion. Maintenance is very responsive though.

About Bouldin

Bouldin (or Bouldin Creek) is home to the famous ‘Greetings from Austin’ mural and one of the oldest neighborhoods in Austin. While few of the original structures from the 1920s still stand, this area pays homage to its beginnings with its original combination of retro and modern architecture. Home ...

Bouldin Reviews

The Catherine sits at the heart of everything. I'm a big fan of the Lady Bird Trail, so I love that I can access that so effortlessly. We are just across the bridge from downtown and South Congress. The only downside is that we're just far enough that you may want to drive or scoot when it's really hot outside. It also averages me about 15 mins to drive and park at McCombs.
Bouldin is a great neighborhood given that it is very close to Downtown Austin and to UT campus within a 10 min drive. It is quiet and there are many nearby grocery stores. Most importantly is the direct access to the river trails, making it a great neighborhood for outdoor activities. It is also a safe neighborhood.
Bouldin neighborhood is a modern and luxurious one. It is quiet and pretty close to different attraction in Austin such as downtown and Barton springs. It is also close to UT campus with a 10 min drive and different groceries nearby. It is also a safe neighborhood.
Downtown Austin is a great place to live to maximize a short commute and proximity to restaurants, bars, parks, and the lake. The prices are significantly higher in the downtown area, but it is definitely worth it to be close to all of the action.
Fun neighborhood with lots to do around
Love being close to downtown and South Congress. We are convenient to everything we love to do in Austin. I can walk to Town Lake for a walk or run and Auditorium Shores is very close too.
Wish I was a little closer to downtown but really like the incredible views
Bouldin Neighborhood is a luxurious neighborhood that is pretty close to downtown area and to UT campus. Enjoy the views to the river without paying expensive amounts of rent. It is a safe and calm area surrounded by many restaurants and coffee shops.
