Great location and space

The 1 bedroom is pretty spacious and lots of closet space. There is also available storage in the basement. It's close enough to being in center city without it being right in the center of all the noise. Only a 2 minute walk from the dragon shuttle and a 3 minute walk to the subway. It also feels safe with a 24/7 front desk person who also handles packages (never had any problems with packages). There is also a basketball court and gym that doesn't get too busy. The gym is sufficient but doesn't have too many machines or weights. They also just recently started to offer a discount on a meraba parking lot space. Personally, I split the rent with my boyfriend so the cost isn't too crazy for me. Only con would be that some walls are thin. Definitely depends on your neighbors.

Solid but new management is a step down

New management took over about 6 months ago, and they are so money hungry, and too slow on any maintenance request. The price of the apartment is average for the location and amenities but it is an old building with thin walls. I get woken up by people next door talking, or the trash trucks coming 1-2 times a week in the back alley. If you love this area, I would probably recommend it but would caution you a little if you aren't dialed in on logan square.

Solid, average high rise price for area

Place is loud to live in with broad st nearby and all the morning traffic. Plus the walls are thin unfortunately. But the place has a basketball court and an ok fitness center. New management is really iffy so far though.

Convenient location and friendly staff

As someone who prefers to live in the city, the apartment is only a 5 minute walk to Suburban Station for the regional line to Villanova. It is a safe area and there is 24-hour security.

Nice bars and restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment.

The leasing, security, and facilities staff are very friendly and helpful, and after a while, you get to know the staff and they feel like family.

The move-in process was seamless. There's a loading dock in the back of the building.

The building has thick walls and you can hardly hear the city noise.

There are some amenities available but they also don't charge an amenity fee. There's a basketball court, a gym, a small lounge, and a rooftop.

The Metropolitan

This has been a great apartment to live in over the last 3 years! While the price of rent has gone up and no longer reflects a "pandemic deal" it is still affordable for the amenities provided including concierge at front desk, basketball court, full gym, community room, and mail/package room. There is a really nice rooftop deck with a great skyline view. Staff are great and super helpful! The apartments themselves can vary but mine was recently updated for no extra cost before I moved in. In-unit washer and dryer, water is provided, large open spaces although not with the best lighting depending on the unit you get. Walls are a bit thin and sound can carry but neighbors are all young professionals and very good about being quiet before or after a call shift. About a 12-15 minute walk from the hospital so far enough removed but easy commute and you can walk right through the open area of City Hall! Right next to Love Park and in the heart of Center City with everything you need within a block or two of the apartment.

Convenient for all transportation

Perfectly placed to travel either direction on the train. Close to highway entrances and exits traveling N/S and E/W. Great community feel with friendly neighbors. Has a basketball court in the building, and I met my husband there. Comfortable community areas for studying with neighbors and friends, throwing dinner parties, or watching big games on their TV.

Great Apartment Right in the Heart of Center City

The Metropolitan is the ideal apartment for anyone who wants to live close enough to the hospital but within the active center of the city in Philly. With a view of City Hall and Love Park there are always fun activities and events going on with easy access to shops and restaurants, as well as convenience stores. Trader Joes is only a 3-4 minute walk away! The apartment has supportive and helpful concierge staff and a maintenance staff that is always on top of requests and easy to reach. There is a full gym available for use for members as well as a community room, secure package rooms, and a really nice rooftop deck with a great skyline view. The apartments are modern with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Your neighbors would be mostly other healthcare workers, graduate students, and young professionals.

Loved the neighborhood. Paying for monthly parking in a nearby garage was not outrageously expensive, was close to center city for fun and errand-running, Target and Whole Foods nearby made for easy groceries when I didn’t want to leave the city. Sabrina’s Cafe is nearby, which is super delicious. BSL was about an 8 minute walk to either Spring Garden or Race-Vine, depending on if I was going north or south. Great area for walking around and getting out of your apartment.
The apartment is technically between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. We live right above Trader Joe's, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. We spend a lot of time walking around Rittenhouse Square and Rittenhouse neighborhood to pick up groceries, drink coffee, and generally hang out with each other and friends. The river walk is a short walk away, and the Museum District is within walking distance. Back when I was going to school regularly, the Septa trolley stop is conveniently right in front of our apartment and the 30th Street Station is a 10 minute walk away. While the amenities leave some things to be desired and we pay a premium for our location, it is a great place to live especially for newcomers to Philadelphia who want to be next to all the action.
Unless you mind the noise of cars in the street below, you will not have any issues. Given that is center city there are many people experiencing homelessness so if that is a deal breaker I recommend other neighborhoods. The upside is being 5-10 minutes distance from all the fun, restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc.. that you will ever need.
Super close to Whole Foods and Trader Joes, and I love the walk along the parkway. It's close to various museums which is great! Overall the neighborhood is pretty residential, but there are coffee shops and to-go restaurants that are easy to access.
The neighborhood is a little more commercial but only a minute away from everything wonderful in rittenhouse. But it feels very safe at all times because it’s on a major street.
It is a great location. The law school is a 15 minute walk. Most of Center City is also within a 20 minute radius. A lot of other law students live nearby.
Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. One of the safest and nicest areas in Philly. There are generally lots of people walking around.
Close to tons of great places to eat/drink, shop, etc. Walking distance to anything in Center City/Callowhill/Art Museum areas.
