M Street

I love my apartment, and the location is great for DC because it's pretty close to a lot of restaurants and events on 14th St. It is a bit of a distance from school, but it's close to several metro stops (all of the lines are within a ten minute walk) and bus stops. I also have a washer and dryer in unit, which is super unique! Plus, management is fantastic and extremely responsive. The only issue is the noise level from the street, but that's not really a building specific thing.

Great Apt Building in the Heart of DC

The location is one of my favorite things about living at M St Towers. It is located right in the center of DC and a <10min walk from a bunch of cool neighborhoods like Logan Circle, 14th St, Mt Vernon, Shaw, and Chinatown. There are a ton of food and going out options just a walk away. In terms of the building, there is a front door man, package room, and small basement gym with the basics. The floor plans are laid out well and spacious with hard wood floors. The utilities like water, electricity, and gas are all included in rent. The rent is a reasonable price for the location and sqft.

Great / affordable studios!

All units are newly renovated and spacious. Large windows give lots of natural light. Gym amenities are limited and I believe parking is limited (don't own a car so I can't speak directly too it). Management is great, responsive, and security attendants in the evening are very friendly. overall great experience thus far!

Great location

You are near 14th street and Chinatown! Great access to metro stations including Mt. Vernon, Metro Center and McPherson Square. A good 20-minute walk to National Mall. It is also nearby Whole Foods, Safeway, Giant's and Trader Joe's, around 10-15 minute walk for any of these location.

Great management team too! Responds to my concern quickly.

Newly Renovated and Clean

M Street Towers has been a great place to live. My unit comes with all utilities included and a washing machine and dryer. All of the appliances were brand new. It is located very close to several different metro stations making it extremely easy to get around.

Great location and value

M Street Towers is in the perfect location, close to Chinatown, Dupont, and 14th Street. Units have updated kitchens, building is clean and safe, management is very attentive, and great value for the space. Only negatives: neighborhood is loud at times (firetrucks and ambulances driving through the area) and the fitness room is severely lacking.

Solid option for grad students

I've been very pleased with living at M Street Towers and Keener Management. The management company has been great - they are very responsive (resolving any issues within 48 hours and usually same day) and very good about keeping you informed of any maintenance that is planned for the building. They also have several building socials throughout the year, which is a nice touch. Laundry is in the basement, as well as a small gym. Management will also accept packages, which has been a big perk. The units are in good condition as well. The location is a couple blocks from Logan Circle and the restaurants/bars on 14th street. It's also walkable to U Street and Dupont Circle. There's a metro stop a couple blocks away that will get you to DCA airport and the G2 bus picks up a couple blocks away as well (which will take you to Georgetown University).

Mount Vernon Square Reviews

I love the location - pretty close to everything you want - shopping, entertainment, restaurants, bars, public transportation, etc. I also like the residential feel of the area, unlike apartment buildings down in Chinatown. Unfortunately, there is some higher rates of car break ins and robberies in the neighborhood, due to a relatively affluent population adjacent to lower income areas. Additionally, there has been a crackdown on prostitution in the area - I saw a few women in the early morning hours, and I am glad the police are focusing on this issue. Other than the normal problems of lack of parking, a very attentive police team writing tickets, I love the area!
As previously mentioned, the neighborhood is great with lots going on, tons of restaurants and the Safeway right next door. Super accessible to everything, especially since we're a 5 minute walk from the Gallery Place metro (red line).
I really love Mount Vernon Square as a neighborhood. It is really close to the national mall, great restaurants, shopping, and you have access to multiple different metro lines.
Lots of restaurants, multiple grocery stores nearby and right near 14th street. Metro is a bit limited outside of the green and yellow line but bus lines are very accessible
Safe area close to Chinatown to the east (union station past that) and then 14th street corridor to the west (dupont past that). You can walk almost anywhere in NW DC.
The area is growing so quickly! New restaurants and buildings are popping up all the time. It's also very easy to get any part of the city from the neighborhood.
I enjoy having tons of restaurants and bars around---from neighborhood pubs, to fast casual restaurants, to sit down joints, to cafes. There's a lots to like.
#1 way to describe living downtown/mt vernon square is convenience. There's a 24 hour Safeway, I can walk nearly everywhere, and always feel safe walking.
