Excellent amenities & proximity to campus

Overall, I would recommend Emory Point to a prospective student due to its proximity to campus. The rent is slightly higher than other apartments of similar size in Atlanta, but I think the proximity to campus and the abundance of bus routes makes up for it. The only negative is the noise - try to get an apartment on the top floor if you can because the building’s construction is not optimal for noise control from upstairs neighbors.

Great location and services

I use an electric bike to go to class every day and it only takes me 5 minutes.

Safe place, great amenities, could improve on hygiene slightly

Best apartment complex near campus!

+ Luxurious design (e.g. crown modeling, stone top, barn house door)
+ Great amenities included (e.g. study room, pool, gym)
+ Responsive maintenance team
+ Walking distance to Emory University
+ Good restaurants and shops walking distance (e.g. Marlow's Tavern, Tin Lizzy's, Papi's, Earth Fare)
- Poor and unresponsive service provided by junior employees at leasing office; area of opportunity for property managers

Great Apartment Complex with Easy Access to Campus and Restaurants

Emory Point has good-sized, clean apartments. There are several shops/restaurants in the complex (including a grocery store, CVS, and dry cleaner) which is convenient. The parking garage always has spaces available and it is a quick walk or shuttle ride to Emory's campus. The gym/pool are nice and maintenance is helpful. Only downside is that some units can be noisy depending on where they are located (i.e. looking over the pool) and the package system is somewhat annoying.

Great building if you select the right location

I've really enjoyed living at Emory Point, however a classmate of mine had a very different experience because she lived in one of the apartments facing Clifton Road, where it was extremely noisy. Prior to signing a lease I suggest looking at the property map and determining which buildings, and even which parts of buildings you would prefer to live in, and stay away from crowded areas such as Clifton Road, or apartments facing the retail areas or the pools. Additionally, closet space can vary in the apartments as can the layout so observing the layout carefully is very important.

Love my one-bedroom apartment

I flew down from NYC to Atlanta in June before orientation began to do my apartment hunting. I had done a bunch of preliminary research online and also consulted with my sister who was graduate student at Emory in the Physician Assistants program to curate a list of viable living options. Ultimately, I narrowed it down between Emory Point and another Gables property called Gables Rock Springs. The Rock Springs complex was also very nice and cheaper but it's further away from campus, does not have Emory shuttle service, fewer classmates were going to live there, and did not have all the amenities that Emory Point offers (i.e. bars and restaurants).

Druid Hills Reviews

Druid Hills is the home neighborhood of Emory, the CDC, and lots of other areas. It is also close to Midtown, downtown Decatur, Inman Park, etc. so a good time is never far away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The university provides lots of activities. Plenty of parks and walking trails if you know where to look.
Druid hills is historic and full of parks and sidewalks. Super safe and exercise and pet friendly. Best part about where I live is the location
love the neighborhood. amazing parks, families, houses, lovely place to be and walk
Beautiful hilly neighborhood with lots of forested parks and quiet streets for runs and walks. You are a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants at Morningside and to Emory village in the opposite direction. It's not close to the beltline, Piedmont, or many of the restaurants/bars you'll find closer to Midtown, but it's quiet and good for students at Emory.
The Druid hills neighborhood is residential and you'll need a car or rideshare to get to most retail areas. It can be quite if you have good neighbors and is typically a safe neighborhood. Gables Rock Springs has experienced some break-ins over the past 6 months while I've been living there, but I don't know the circumstances and haven't experienced it myself.
Lots of great restaurants, driving is decent around here (for Atlanta anyway). I have 2 Publixes, a Target, and a Walmart within 10 minutes of me. I would highly recommend.
Emory Point is basically on campus so the atmosphere is very similar to other areas of Emory, with more shops and restaurants thrown in.
There are a lot of families who live in this complex. Numerous pet owners too, and a wonderfull green area for everyone to play and have fun in. We are right across the street from the Clairmont Campus.
