Quiet, cozy, affordable, great for pets

Lakeland Apartments is a quiet, affordable, and cozy apartment complex north of campus. Most residents are Cornell graduate students (but not many law students), and many international students live here because the apartments are furnished. The landlord and maintenance crew are great, and I feel very safe in and around my building. Lakeland is in a residential area, so it is not optimal for those that want to live close to bars and restaurants. The apartment complex is a 25-30 minute walk from the law school and Collegetown. Fortunately, the nearest TCAT bus stop is a 20 second walk from my front door and the bus drops me off right in front of the law school. (Also, FYI new students, the bus system in Ithaca is really prompt and dependable, even in the snow!) Many of the residents at Lakeland have pets and there is a nice yard in the middle of the complex. Some of the apartments are small. The complex has coin operated laundry machines and free parking.
