Not terrible, not great either
I love the location of this apartment complex in Cleveland Heights between Little Italy and Coventry. It is a great place to live because I am close to school, the hospitals, my classmates, and tons of bars / shops / restaurants. The apartment complex is also nice and quiet with lots of space-- I feel like we are paying a fair price for 2 bedrooms. However, we struggle in the summer without air conditioning and not having a dishwasher or garbage disposal has been a bigger issue than I initially anticipated. Moreover, the parking is tight in the lots here. Typically, I feel very safe in this complex and in the surrounding area as well. Management is also very responsive and I get immediate responses from maintenance as well.

Pretty good Apartment
1300 dollar/m. for me and my roommate. It's pretty cheap and it will take about 20 minutes to walk to school.

You pay too much for so little
The rent at these apartments is pretty high for what you're getting. You have to pay for parking, sewer, gas, water, laundry, electricity, internet and if you have a pet you pay for the pet too. Your rent basically covers NOTHING but a roof over your damn head. It is obvious that the owner does not care about the tenants at all and just wants to make money in any greedy way possible. Also, not to mention the heat doesn't even work well. The apartment has a central heating system and radiators in every apartment that make so much noise at night that it does not let you sleep and during the cold winters, it does not make the apartment warm enough at all. Then you're forced to use an electric heater to stay warm WHERE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ELECTRICITY! Its absolutely ridiculous.

Chill
I love how quite my apartment can be during the day and at night. It is a older building, but they have and are actively renovating the building. I have not had a issue. There are no pests. Only bad part is on site washing and drying card machine is broken. Therefore need to wash off site. Overall, cozy, quite apartments.

Great First Apartment
This is a wonderful apartment if you are looking for a cute place with lots of sun (of course depending on where you are positioned within the building). The interior is pretty, the door(s) has a dead bolt and two other locks, and the closets are fairly spacious. It is an older building, so the radiators are fairly loud in the winter and the walls are a little thinner. If you are sensitive to noise, I would not recommend this apartment simply because of the loud radiators. Neighbors are expected to be respectful, and management is very quick to respond to any questions or complaint. Requires independent AC units. Very close to campus (approximately 15-20 min walk and 5 min drive).

Lewis Manor
Very safe neighborhood and 15 minute walk to Case. Down the road from Little Italy. The building is older but our unit has a newly renovated kitchen with brand new appliances. The only downside is that you can not run anything (toaster, Keurig, air fryer) at the same time as the microwave or you will blow the fuse. You can't hear the neighbors in the apartments next to us but we can hear the neighbors above us. The apartment uses radiator heat and it can be really loud depending on the apartment. No AC but you can buy a window AC and maintenance will install it for you. Maintenance is very responsive.

It's a meh place
The apartment itself is nice. The rooms are cute and the bathroom and kitchen are alright. The community laundry room is also well-kept for the most part. However, the building is super old. You can hear all your neighbors and the radiators hiss really loudly. And you must turn off other appliances while using the microwave or your will blow the fuse.

Spacious units, good location, great management
Living at Lewis Manor has been great so far. It's located a couple minutes walk from an RTA stop and within a ~10 minute walk to Little Italy, Coventry, and Cedar Fairmount which are all great locations for restaurants, cafes, and groceries. Management is always super responsive and maintenance requests are completed promptly. My studio is quite spacious and there's plenty of storage. Additional costs include gas, electricity, internet, and in-apartment laundry.

Good overall
For most of my two years a very pleasant experience with responsive management. String of disasters at the very end including significant water damage to roof leading to partial collapse prompted me to move back home. Even then repairs were timely.

Lewis Manor
The location is phenomenal and overall the apartment itself is lovely. However, rent is expensive, there are some minor plumbing issues (mainly the shower), and the property manager is fairly unresponsive. For me, the apartment is worth it for a year because it is comfortable and good for a transition to a new city. But, I will not stay here longer than a year as I feel that long term, the cons slightly outweigh the pros. But if your greatest concerns are safety and location, then this building is likely better than most.
