Great community, management could be better
This is an open community, there are many options to choose from, apartments, town houses and cottages, starting from 1 to 3 bedrooms. The area is pretty and has a warm feeling. I would say that it is great for families but not as good for single people.
There are only 2 negative things that I have noticed. First, management is not the best, they do not answer immediately and tend to point fingers to others instead of helping out to resolve problems. Tied to that, maintenance takes a long time to fix issues and they not always fix everything, I have had to ask for repairs in more than one occasion.

Ok apartment with some management problems
The apartments are in good condition but the management is not fast to resolve the maintenance claims and puts a problem for everything.

size, price, accessibility, safety
Century trinity estates is a beautiful safe apartment complex and is suitable for families.

A great value and convenient location
Overall, I am quite satisfied with my townhouse apartment. It is a short 8-10 minute drive to Fuqua and equally convenient to Target, Harris Teeter, and a ton of restaurants just down the road. If you want to spend every night at The Tavern or downtown then you can do that because you are saving so much money compared to living at Station 9 or another complex downtown. Having a large garage, 2 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths for our price would be unheard of in most complexes. There is also a nice tennis court, pool, and lots of green space for pets. Apartments always offer a lot of trade offs between amenities, location, space, and price. I feel like Century Trinity is a good balance of all of those.

Century Trinity Estates 2bdr 2bth on 1st Floor
Overall we are satisfied with the apartment. It is on the 1st floor and very close to pool, so it's easy to go out with children. On the downside, the apartment is clean but not as new as, for example, Garrett West, or even Alden Place (we spent 1st year in Durham in Alden Place and decided to move to Century Trinity Estates because of too high lease quote at Alden). The management is fine, but they react to requests slowly, sometimes we had to remind them about maintenance requests etc. Many of the neighbors are students too, so its quite friendly around here. The important factor of choosing this property is that it is related to Forest View Public Elementary School which is considered one of the best in Durham (so do Alden Place and Garrett West too). Also the security deposit is not as high as at Alden (though I don't know how easy they will return it after we leave the apartment). Fine choice for family at their price.
