Lovely loft-style living

Fantastic amount of light in the apartment because of high ceilings, otherwise average

Good value for money

Not necessarily the highest quality finishings and many unrenovated apartments with carpet in the bedroom. However it's good space and great value for money. Not a super popular Wharton building so good if you don't want to be in a dorm

2121 Market St

Great location, no sound dampening between apartments and/or hallway. You can hear EVERYTHING. Also minimal storage (closets, cabinets, etc) for a pretty large apartment.

Pretty good

High ceilings, relatively quick repairs, new appliances, few pests, good package room, security guard at front desk, small gym and outside deck on top floor.

However, elevators frequently break, some security guards not great, thin walls, laundry breaks somewhat frequently.

Great Apartment, Decent Management

The apartment itself is amazing, and the amenities are nice (two sky decks, rooftop gym and lounge), but management can be a little slow to respond, which is a little frustrating at times. Also, it is right on top of Trader Joe's, which is great. The trolley line is also right downstairs, so door to door it only takes about 10 minutes to get to school (or around 15-20 if you decide to walk)

Almost perfect!!!

I absolutely love living here. The location is unbeatable (close to rittenhouse, 20min to campus, right above Trader Joe’s) and the apartment is so lovely. Every apartment has vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The walls are super thick and I can do at home workouts without disturbing my neighbors. My only complaint is that laundry machines are shared by floor and cost $2 for washing and $1.75 for drying. And quality of wash is not great

Affordable, Great Location, but older

Right above Trader Joe's and literally in front of the SEPTA stop, the location is hard to beat. For the price, it's better than most places you'll get in the same area. There's a gym included. It is a bit older though - my appliances have the feel of something a decade old, the washer/dryer in the building doesn't work so well, and the floors are a bit uneven. Overall, we are happy with the place, but you do have to know what you value.

Some maintenance issues, but overall a satisfactory place to live.

I've had a few maintenance issues, but management is responsive, and the maintenance guys are really nice. The walls are kind of thin, but my neighbors aren't too noisy. I did have ants at one point. They weren't in the kitchen, though, and a few traps got rid of them.

The natural light from the big windows is great. The utilities aren't as expensive as I thought they would be, but you do have to pay for laundry (on each floor). There's a basic gym on the top floor. It's pet-friendly, but I don't usually hear dogs barking unless I'm in the hallway. And it's great living above Trader Joe's and a short walk away from other stores and restaurants.

Pretty good

My unit is great. Repairs can take a while. Elevators are frequently out of service. It's nice having a front desk attendant 24/7 (except on holidays, I believe). Packages are kept safe in the lobby. Small gym and deck spaces on roof. For the price and location, this building is tough to beat. But if you want a more luxurious unit in Center City this is probably not your location.

Loved the neighborhood. Paying for monthly parking in a nearby garage was not outrageously expensive, was close to center city for fun and errand-running, Target and Whole Foods nearby made for easy groceries when I didn’t want to leave the city. Sabrina’s Cafe is nearby, which is super delicious. BSL was about an 8 minute walk to either Spring Garden or Race-Vine, depending on if I was going north or south. Great area for walking around and getting out of your apartment.
The apartment is technically between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. We live right above Trader Joe's, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. We spend a lot of time walking around Rittenhouse Square and Rittenhouse neighborhood to pick up groceries, drink coffee, and generally hang out with each other and friends. The river walk is a short walk away, and the Museum District is within walking distance. Back when I was going to school regularly, the Septa trolley stop is conveniently right in front of our apartment and the 30th Street Station is a 10 minute walk away. While the amenities leave some things to be desired and we pay a premium for our location, it is a great place to live especially for newcomers to Philadelphia who want to be next to all the action.
Unless you mind the noise of cars in the street below, you will not have any issues. Given that is center city there are many people experiencing homelessness so if that is a deal breaker I recommend other neighborhoods. The upside is being 5-10 minutes distance from all the fun, restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc.. that you will ever need.
Super close to Whole Foods and Trader Joes, and I love the walk along the parkway. It's close to various museums which is great! Overall the neighborhood is pretty residential, but there are coffee shops and to-go restaurants that are easy to access.
The neighborhood is a little more commercial but only a minute away from everything wonderful in rittenhouse. But it feels very safe at all times because it’s on a major street.
It is a great location. The law school is a 15 minute walk. Most of Center City is also within a 20 minute radius. A lot of other law students live nearby.
Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. One of the safest and nicest areas in Philly. There are generally lots of people walking around.
Close to tons of great places to eat/drink, shop, etc. Walking distance to anything in Center City/Callowhill/Art Museum areas.
