Not Ideal
In my opinion, the reason a Kellogg student lives at the Park Evanston is because they want to pay a bit less than some of the other buildings and have a fairly decent location right next to the Whole Foods. The issue with that plan (which was what I had thought I was doing) is that the building management is horrendous. The building is old and out of date, the people who work there aren't helpful, and the cost jumps up aggressively after your first year so that if you plan to live there for 2 years you will end up paying a similar amount to the other buildings. I highly recommend staying away.

Face the Lake
If you can, get an apartment that faces the lake because I think it's brighter and more sunlight. Also apartments above level 6 you get a view, instead of facing the Wholefoods carpark.
Pro's:
- generally pretty quick with maintenance
- apartments are big and reasonably priced for what you get (vs E2 for example)
Con's:
- management sucks a bit - they turn the heating on really high as soon as it hits October even if it's warm. And the heating is pro-rata to every apartment so you have to pay for it even if everyone is complaining it's too hot
- they charge you for everything like if you get locked out it's $50 (even though the doorman just needs to come up to let you in they have spare keys on site)

Great property
Excellent place to live, gym very decent and useful during the winter season. One of the closest apartments to the global hub. Next door to whole foods which is a blessing.

Ideal Location!
Perfect location right by the Whole Foods and close to most of the bars in Evanston. The building is a little more rundown than some of the others, with carpeted floors. Management is generally very responsive and friendly.

Great location, fantastic views
We chose our apartment primarily for the convenient location (right next to Whole Foods on Chicago ave), tons of sunlight and views of lake Michigan (floors 7 and above).
Pros: responsive management, spacious layout, friendly doormen, decent rent price (for Evanston standards), no issues with elevator maintenance or wifi dropping, lavish building parties each season
Cons: Carpet everywhere but bathrooms and kitchen, heating/cooling utilities split by floor usage, outdated kitchen

Park Evanston Review
I've been very happy with the Park Evanston. While the building is somewhat dated, you can't beat the location - it's a convenient walk to campus and steps away from everything in downtown Evanston.

Solid Building, Horrendous Management
Building is convenient, good views, nice units, functional appliances etc.
That said, the building management seems to exist only to spite its tenants. They crank the heat in the winter and charge everyone seemingly randomly for over heating the building, and respond only grudgingly. If the DMV could be a building management, it'd be the Park Evanston.

Solid So Far
Overall I have had a pretty good experience in the Park Evanston. The building is centrally located in downtown Evanston so it is easy to walk to all the nearby bars and restaurants. It is a bit farther than ideal to walk to the Hub (~15-18 min) but you can get there faster on a bike. The building is a bit older than others in the area but the apartments are fairly large and well kept. The heat and air conditioning alternate (only one can be on at a time) so it can get pretty hot at transition periods but in general it is pretty easy to keep a comfortable temperature most of the year. The building is very responsive if you every need something fixed, usually coming that day or the next to fix it. Parking is convenient but expensive ($135/month for a covered spot). There is a nice workout room and rooftop pool + a study/lounge room on the ground floor. The door staff is great and very helpful for signing for packages.

Good but expensive
I was happy with Park Evanston as it is in a good location, has spacious apartments, and feels very secure. The rent is high for what it is, but I was set on a one-bedroom.

Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
