Highly Recommended - Best Apartments for Price
I love my apartment. It's spacious, comfortable, everything I need. Great location! ~20 min walk/5 min bike ride to Kellogg Global Hub. Near a bunch of restaurants and bars in downtown Evanston, a few minute walk to Whole Foods, close to Trader Joes and Jewel Osco as well. Slightly older building, but they do a good job maintaining. The bathroom is a bit small and outdated, but kitchen is newly renovated and nice. Carpet flooring with "wood" in kitchen. A couple things I had to get used to, like wall-mounted AC (though there is central heating), no bathroom fan, and old curtain fixtures... but things I got used to really quickly, and small price to pay for all the benefits and great price!!

Loving it.
Love it, management's very nice and prompt.
Note that the thermostats in the rooms are kind of fake - they definitely don't make the apartments warmer.
But the air conditioners work great!!
Shuttle's right outside for when it's frigid or when you need to go to Chicago.
Lots of students living here though not as many as E2 and Park Evanston - but that's kind of refreshing.

Huge Rooms
Great big rooms and living space. Lots of natural lighting. A mini-driveway which is great when returning via Uber/Lyft. Friendly tenants. 20 minute walk from the Kellogg Global Hub. Probably the best value for money of all apartments in Evanston.

Very Quiet
2 bed 1 bath with a roommate.
Pros: apartment is really quiet, huge windows offer lots of natural light, laundry room in building is always available, access to the bike parking through the building garage doors, maintenance team is responsive
Cons: bathroom drains clog easily, heating is centrally controlled and upper floors can get warm in the fall, the fitness center does not have any weights (just treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals)

Well-maintained, conveniently located 1500 Chicago Ave
1500 Chicago Ave is a well-maintained apartment building, with very helpful staff. Whenever there is a (minor) issue, the building engineers will usually come by to fix it the same day, even if you are not at home. The apartments are nice and light and fully equipped, although the kitchen might seem a bit outdated. The free storage lockers are a great addition, as well as the roof-top terrace (nice view of the lake / Chicago skyline) with complimentary BBQ.
The building is conveniently located at the edge of Evanston downtown, with a 20 minute walk to the Global Hub. The NorthWestern Intercampus bus stops right in front of the door for those winter days when you just don't want to go outside.
The gym is a nice addition and always clean, but has limited gear (2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 home trainers).

great value for money
It's located right in downtown. Close to bars and restaurant and bus stops. But a bit further from the Global Hub (15-20 min walk).
it's not the best or the newest but I think it's a great value for money.

Good Value
Apartment is good value. Decent amount of Kellogg (20ish) and Northwestern grad students in the building mixed with elderly folks and a few families. Close to restaurants and bars, and has a bus stop right outside. Maintenance staff is responsive and very friendly. Things to note: older building, common laundry room (get quarters), and dinky workout room (treadmills and spin bikes).
