CityView

CityView is a short walk to all the bars and restaurants downtown, but at a price much lower than the apartments right on the commons. Maintenance is pretty quick in getting any urgent problems with your apartment fixed. The building also has on-site parking for a reasonable fee and is a 5 minute walk away from the nearest bus stop.

However, the apartments tend to be on the smaller side, with limited storage space and the gym has very limited equipment.

Review on CityView Apartments

I think overall speaking, CityView apartments is a very good choice for Cornell students because:

1.Located in downtown with 5 minutes to main bus station
2.Relative lower price compared to other apartments around the campus, college town or downtown area.
3.The unit is well-decorated and has all necessary furniture
4.The management office is nice and willing to help you solve any of issues and the maintenance is always responsive

Best value and location in my honest opinion.

I arrived Ithaca a few weeks before classes began, so I had time to do my homework on the housing situation. This was the best deal I found. 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, large living room, large walk in closet, right on the bank of Six Mile Creek behind the Commons. Great access to downtown amenities. 5 minute walk to the Green Street TCAT bus station. Beautiful 30 minute walk to / from school during nice weather days. Close enough to get to school really conveniently, far enough to escape the campus / collegetown bubble.

City View

This apartment is great if you want to live alone. It's affordable, has a gym in the basement, parking is available, and it has high ceilings and a dishwasher. The major downfall is that it sits on top of a giant hill overlooking the commons, and there's no other way to get to and from school than to walk up and down the hill.
