nice place, great location

one bedroom in west side of downtown, very close to trader joes and whole foods. relatively quiet, was worried about being near the train but its been fine since i have an interior apartment. can barely hear it. walking distance to all the stuff downtown, bars, restaurants, etc.

about 800 sq ft, new, modern apartment. very happy with it. pool is nice, small but a little shady. expeirence may be different in normal times, they were only letting in the area 10 ppl at a time bc of covid. haven't been to the gym yet but its small, only essential stuff, which is fine.

i haven't even really needed a car, take the bus or bike to campus, about 15 min or so. bus stop is a couple minute walk on 5th st.

i would take "social" rating with a grain of salt. these are weird time, plus i only did first semester and was extremely busy.

Great place to live

Highly recommend- parking included, spacious, and great value for money especially in this highly sought after downtown location. Downside is that it's right next to the railroad so you can hear the train but you get used to it.

Convenient downtown location but loud train!

Great location downtown near UT shuttle to school, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, running paths on the lake and bars and restaurants. AMLI 300 is an older building and the amenities are fine (not great) but the floor plans are large. The main issue with AMLI is its proximity to the train tracks which has freight trains coming by every couple of hours and which can be particularly loud if your apartment is facing south.

Review

Solid location, reasonable pricing. Management/maintenance is pretty crappy but that's the same for most apartments

Good value for the location

AMLI 300 is a great value, considering the location. I know some tenants complain about noise from the train but I can't hear it from my unit. Management has always been quick to respond to my requests.

Great location, average facilities

Great location in terms of proximity to downtown and bus lines. Facilities, ie. build quality, gym, etc. are average. Leasing office is generally helpful.

Relatively New - Awesome!

AMLI 300 is a relatively new building in a great downtown location, with easy access to the campus shuttle (Metro 663) routes and is walkable to West 6th bars/restaurants. Typically the building rates are among the cheapest in the downtown area, with good reason. Units facing the South side of the building are ~10 ft from busy train tracks and it is extremely loud at all hours, so shop for North or interior facing units where the train noises will be muted (they are typically several $100 more expensive per month). The apartment management and building itself are both mediocre, get what you pay for sort of thing.

It's nice to be able to walk to Whole Foods and Trader Joes for groceries. There are a lot of salons and boutique type stores in walking distance. The one downside is that there is no drug store (CVS or Walgreens) in walking distance.
Close to Whole Foods, Trader Joes, West 6th street bars, the townlake YMCA and the trail at Lady Bird Lake! I also work downtown so its a perfect location, and there is plentiful guest parking on the roof!
We are in walking distance to a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. You can also walk to West 6th street bars. There are a lot of running trails nearby at Zilker Park and along the river.
Cool area, nice shops and restaurants, quick walk to anything downtown, served by several bus lines.
relatively quiet but close to everything, restaurants, bars, downtown, campus. i love it.
Great access to campus metro and <10 minute walk to bars and restaurants on West 6th.
I could not say better things about Clarksville. It's a super cute neighborhood that's just outside of downtown, making the commute light but you don't have to deal with the same amount of noise or traffic. It's a short walk to the lake and running trail. Cute restaurants and a couple bars.
Super convenient commute but not as charming as East Austin neighborhood, for instance.
