The Morgan at Chapel Hill

Best pool in chapel hill. Great because so many MBA students live here.

The Morgan is great! It’s a popular place for MBA students and other grad students to live. It is a short 7-8 minute drive to campus, has a great pool and solid gym, and has easy access to Meadowmont Village.

I love the Morgan community. I live in the Morgan Reserve which has more updated apartments and shares amenities with the regular Morgan. A lot of MBA and other graduate students live here, which makes it really fun and keeps you from being lonely if you live alone like I do. We love having get togethers and pool parties! And you can always find someone to help with something around your apartment, jump your car if it dies, etc. and people are constantly driving to and from school, so car pools are and option if you don’t have a car.

Living at the Morgan has been exactly what I expected. A nice, quiet community with a great presence of MBA students. A few issues with bugs, but otherwise an enjoyable experience with lots of friends close by.

I love The Morgan. The rent isn't too bad, they allow pets, there's ample parking, a gym, a pool, and maintenance takes care of issues quickly. Many of your classmates are around, and overall the property is nice. A couple gripes: Some of the units could be a bit more updated, and there are some spots in the parking lot you need to watch out for. Other than that, it's a very good apartment complex. It's very quiet as there are no undergrads, so maybe not where you want to be if you don't have a car or really want to live downtown. Nice short commute to school.

Positives: Leafy location, quiet neighbors, good amount of parking, lot of other students around, pool

Negatives: Cockroaches, incredibly disruptive groundskeeping (gas leafblowers galore), cheap fixtures, high and ever-increasing rent, weekly theft from cars in the parking lot (and even a stolen car or two), obnoxious repair staff, A/C basically stops working if it's too hot out

Like any complex, this one has plenty of little issues, but overall it's one of the better apartments I've lived in and the convenience to campus is fantastic. It's also so nice to live in a community where lots of other MBAs and grad students live. The maintenance staff are a highlight - always kind and very quick to respond to issues. For the price, I don't think there are any better options.

Overall really good. There's a large community of MBAs and Grad Students in general, the amenities are nice, it's close to school.
