Good besides move-in date
Great renovations and amenities, can be pricey but is close to the school. The heat and air isn't centralized and the walls are thin.

The Tower - New Renovations, Great Location
When I first visited the Tower, a significant amount of the building was under renovation. They've fully redone the lobby, gym, game room, study rooms, the apartment I moved into had brand-new appliances, and they're redoing the pool for Spring 2025. I also believe each apartment comes with a balcony (at least mine does and my friends' does as well).
Whenever I have had an issue (some internet problems and a noisy A/C), management responds within the day and resolves it at no cost. The management is friendly and is looking to work with residents to improve the living experience. My only problem is the proximity to Grand River Rd and the railroad, the apartment itself is a little secluded, back about 150 yards from Grand River and 200 yards from the railroad. However, it can still get noisy when people race their straight-piped cars down the road or when the GM train goes by, but neither of those is the apartments' fault.
The location is excellent. I attend the Broad College (20 minute walk from my place) and there is a paved path that runs from the apartment, over the Red Cedar, and onto campus. It is also a 5-minute walk from Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and the International Market, 10-minute walk from Crunch Fitness, 1/2 hour walk from Spartan Stadium/Downtown, and a 10-minute drive from Costco. All-in-all, a perfect location for a student who doesn't own a car. Even if you do, the Tower provides excellent parking for an additional $20/month.
The Tower is an excellent option for students looking to be close to campus, downtown, and the grocery store.

Nice amenities and close to campus
The best part of the apartment is that it is in walking distance of campus. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the Business College Complex when taking the trail in the back of the building. The apartment offers nice amenities like a gym, game room, study rooms, dog park, and a pool. Management (specifically the leasing department) can be frustrating to work with at times, but the maintenance and cleaning staff are fantastic.

Overall really good but poor move-in process
They were bought by a different management company, so this summer they were completing property-wide renovations. The communication for unit renovations was really poor (for everyone, not just me) and the office staff did not handle the situation well. We are a month into the semester and they are still renovating units and the common area. I definitely understand that things happen and the timelines get pushed out, but the way they handled the situation was not great.
Other than that, I have really enjoyed living at The Tower for the past 1.5 months. The proximity to campus is great, there are good amenities, and the renovations look really nice.

Good for the area, convenience, price
Living at the Tower was definitely a good decision for me. I needed a place that was close enough to campus that I could bike into classes/clinic shifts when the weather was permitting, that allowed pets, and that fit a student budget. I think this complex met all of the above criteria. It's definitely an older building, with the standard carpet and popcorn ceiling, a fairly outdated kitchen. Still, it was roomy, had a balcony, and overall the management was responsive enough that I didn't have to stress about any housing-related issues more than a couple of times. Biggest complaint is that the internet (which is included in your rent) would drop out on occasion. There was overall 2-3 times where I needed to leave the apartment to attend a Zoom class due to the internet dropping out for the building. It's definitely a popular apartment complex for undergrads as well so be prepared for lots of noise on the weekends and late at night. My neighbors were nice enough that when I knocked to ask them to turn down the music they would oblige without issue.
