Amazing neighborhood, great view, clean and quiet people, away from the craziness of downtown Dallas.

Worth the 20 min commute down 75
I looked at other properties closer to SMU. However, this apartment came by my search by chance. This is a super-luxurious community in the quiet, nearby suburb of Richardson. If you are tired of the college apartment life and want to move into a community that's predominantly younger professionals (with a few retirees), then The Flats is for you. I have loved feeling like I can escape from school at the end of the day and go to an area that's my own. In any given time, the commute averages about 20 minutes and hasn't been as big of an issue as one might think. Be it a straight-shot down i-75 or the adjacent Greenville, the time getting to and from campus passes by very fast (especially if you're listening to law podcasts). The only time that it posed an inconvenience was after a tornado struck near campus, but everyone was delayed. This quiet community has been advantageous for studying, the gym is state of the art, and the valet trash service makes being a law student just a little less burdensome.
