Good value

10 min walk to and from campus and on the same block as a Grocery Outlet, starbucks, chipotle, and other food options. Very good location and able to do a 10 month contract.

Decent Apartment

The apartment building is quite nice and offers good rent rates compared to other buildings in the area. The surrounding area is not so great, but at least it is in a central location, so it is easy to get to almost anywhere in Los Angeles and is close to major freeways. I wish we had a bit more security at this apartment building, but they seem to be adding more of that lately.

Good but bad when you have issues...

The living experience and the location is great. It's min 5min drive to school... However, when we had issues with noise up stairs, management did not take us seriously and did not do anything about it. I also got my package stolen couple times.

Decent Apartment

This apparently is generally good. The price is amazing! As a student, it is really difficult to find a relatively safe and affordable apartment in Downtown LA, so Im glad I was able to find this place. The management is pretty responsive. My biggest complaints are that it can be quite noisy, I don't think this area is very safe so I am anxious to go outside, even in daylight, and I wish there was tighter security like a doorman.

1111 Wilshire

I have enjoyed living here, honestly I have no complaints. I wish there was more closet space but the closet sizes are typical of LA apartments. There is an in-unit washer and dryer and extra closet space in the hall as well.

Wilshire Blvd

It is within walking distance from everything you might need. Grocery store is right around the corner, theres an outdoor shopping center with a Target that's a seven minute walk away. There's a bunch of restaurants near by and in fact a sandwhich shop right next door. There's even a hospital across the street. Only down side is management is not the most helpful. They come off like they don't care. Residents are fine though and it is pet friendly.

1111 Wilshire

This is a good place to live. It is a 10-15 minute drive to campus. The apartment is very nice. Maintenance staff is usually available if needed. It is an updated complex. Many students live in the nearby area.

It's ok

Depending on where in the building and the time of summer, you might have people getting much better move-in deals that you. Work with other people in your class to see if you can match whatever move in deals if they're renting at the same complex.

Don't be hesitant in nit-picking them before move in. When we moved in, a lot of light switches were broken, the toilet was dirty, and various bathroom fixtures were loose. They fixed everything but we had to deal with it post-move-in.

Also, the walls are thin and you can hear all of downtown if you choose an apartment that faces the street. Our downstairs neighbors were evicted because of too many noise complaints from their excess and loud music.

It's an ok place to live. Is it the best? no. Is it the worst? no.
