Molly Barr Ridge—will not be here next year
Yeah I don’t even know if this place will be operating next year. I certainly won’t be here.

Not so sure.
The first three years were great. Then the new company took over, and things went downhill for a while. They seem to be getting back on track. I think it is ridiculous that there is no way for us to have guests over (at this point in time). Also, the response time for a maintenance request is all over the place; they are quick on more urgent matters, but it can take months for something as simple as replacing a microwave handle.

Beware, management is malicious
Management engages in illegal activity by creating catch 22 parking rules and then pays a towing company to tow vehicles in their own assigned parking spots, and then runs a racket where each car is at least 300$ to get back within 24 hrs and management takes half. Because of this many tenants have lost access to vehicles. Additionally management refuses to do upkeep and is impossibly to get in contact with and arbitrarily changes leasing rules by using a loophole in their 100+ page leasing rule book. Because of this they are now charging 300+ in utilities per month which goes up without any access to itemization or energy use. For example I was not using any utilities for one month away from town and my bill was higher than when I was in town. There are very high rates of crime and package theft here which management will not enforce

Molly Barr Apartments
Honestly, I have lived with them for 2.5 years (3 years in july). The only real issue I ever had was in the last few months with my roommate. That has nothing to do with the apartment complex or management. I would recommend this place to people. The only things I am not liking are that these fees are starting to come from out of nowhere for the upcoming lease. However, I won't be there next semester (at least that is the plan) so it will not affect me. Putting the negatives aside, the positives are all there. I definitely feel like if there is an issue, I can talk to management and my concerns will not fall on deaf ears.

Great complex
This is a nice complex. The majority of the residents are students, and for the most part, it's a quiet place.
The property recently got a new manager, and she and her staff have been working hard to make sure that residents' experiences are better than what they have been for a while. We really appreciate them for what they are trying to do to not only fix past problems, but also create a better experience for everyone.
