Bakerstreet properties

- Good: love the location (~10 min walk to school, 5 min walk to downtown area), it's a nice remodel with new appliances, good lighting, and on-site laundry (laundry is a yearly payment of $300 and free laundry for the year after that). Maintenance requests are taken care of quickly, and once a year they have a team come to clean the hallways and laundry room. Emails to the management office are usually answered within 1 business day, and they're always very nice.

- Neutral depending on your lifestyle: it's a very undergrad-heavy area so you will hear tailgates and parties. We have only had one party that went late enough and loud enough into the night that we went outside to ask them to please turn down the volume, and they were super nice about it. You will also be able to hear the train every evening, and because it's close to the hospital there are sirens throughout the day.

- Not so good: The rent and fees sometimes feel a bit predatory. Pet rent is $75/month, and we don't currently have a car but when we do that will also be extra. The rent went up $300 between the last leasers and us, and we've signed a three-year lease to keep the rent steady (going up $50/year for those three years). Unfortunately I don't know how common this is in Ann Arbor generally, and especially in such a coveted area- there are renting companies that I have heard worse things about.

Nice place to live, newly renovated, but a bit expensive and small
