Gish Flats

Great spot downtown, nice view, easily accessible. Newer apartments have elevator, old apartments do not. While management is on property 5 days a week, I have had issues with management making repairs. Specifically, my A/C unit went out in the middle of August and it took them 2 months to fix. I believe they were dragging their feet because they were trying to wait until the cold season hit so they wouldn't have to fix it. After 2 months the repair was done - there was a leak in the copper lining thus allowing the freon to leak out. Due diligence would have revealed this early on. Otherwise, small repairs have been done promptly, and there are few other repairs that have needed to be done. Walls are very thin - you can hear your neighbors fairly easily. Similarly, can hear neighbors walking around upstairs.

Very clean, well maintained. Within walking distance to farmer's market (open on Saturdays). Within walking distance to the Lynchburg courts. Keyfob required for building access. Excellent management. Under 15 minutes from apartment to school. Rent includes water, trash removal 2x weekly, and basic internet. Building has elevator access (most useful during move-in and move-out).

Some dogs can be loud; would prefer a little more closet space but there's enough for most people's needs. Basic internet is provided, with options to pay for faster internet access and for cable TV.
