Pretty good

It’s quite an old apartment, but I recommend it to other grad students because the Village Corners is easy to take a shuttle bus

Solid

Quiet and roomy space to live with plenty of parking. It has some issues but it's great for a student living alone. The gym is fantastic. Location is perfect and close to basically anything you'd ever need. Probably wouldn't live here with a family though due to the safety and maintenance issues.

The Village Corners

It’s a nice apartment to live in. It is fairly quiet all year, so intense studying can be done without worry of disruption. The only negative thing I would have against the apartment would be that bugs can find their way into the apartment fairly easily. This includes spiders, cockroaches, beetles, etc. These bugs don’t bother me too much.

Close to SMU

As for an international student, it is very helpful that there is an SMU shuttle bus station in 5-10 minutes walk. If you have a car it is about 8-10 minutes from SMU. This complex is safe and green. The apartments are cheaper because they are old but still are in a good condition.

Living at The Village

It's almost 7 months since I have moved to the Village Corners East, and it has been a great experience so far. Amenities such as laundry, gym are quite near, and travel options to my university are a small walk away. There are also various events arranged by the management almost every day and especially on the weekends, which is a fresh change from the daily routine. Also, there is a security patrol which does it rounds on the premises for the security of the tenants.

Close to SMU, nice amenities

Good area if you are an SMU student, pretty safe and management is always responsive, lots of amenities, the only downside I see is that rent price is high, and the surrounding areas are getting more dangerous

It’s okay

It’s alright. The water is a little unpredictable when it comes to temperature. However, it’s nice for a cheaper place in Dallas. It’s super homey and pretty quiet. Both me and my roommate study in the living room and have no issues. Management doesn’t really bother you. They’re a little difficult to deal with but most management is. It’s not the most high end place but it’s not dirty. It’s just old. Overall me and my roommate love it and it gets the job done

Prompt management and maintenance

Overall good experience. Anytime there has been a maintenance issue it is fixed promptly. Management is responsive. Grounds are well kept. I really appreciate that there is a security company on patrol 24/7.

Love the neighborhood. Generally safe area for Dallas. The village is so big you feel like you’re in your own community
Very affordable and still close to campus (with a vehicle)
The neighborhood is good. It's noisy and constantly busy, but that's because it is a massive cluster of apartments. It get nasty real quick to the immediate north of the Village. I wouldn't go there during the day. There are plenty of bums, vicious looking criminals, nasty thugs, and the assortment of terrible human beings saturating the area just north of Loop 12.
The neighborhood is super pet friendly. I always see people walking their dogs. The neighborhood is also very safe. The Village has its own private security that drives around the property 24/7. It is also super affordable compared to other Dallas apartments, and I think it is a great bang for your buck. The neighborhood is also mainly young people, from what I can tell.
What I liked about this neighborhood is that there are a lot of immigrants living there, so you can meet people from all over the world. What's not so great is, most of the buildings in this neighborhood are very run-down and there are constantly police helicopters flying overhead. There are no parks that you can walk to. But you can walk to Walmart in less than 5 minutes. The best thing about this neighborhood is that there is a giant Half Price Books just a few blocks away.
The neighborhood is great! It's near school and super safe. There's 24-hour Village security that covers all of the Village properties. There is a lot of construction happening because they're building a new apartment and shopping/restaurant center nearby, but that should be finished soon.
The neighborhood seems to be safe and is pretty quiet. I like seeing people out running and walking their dogs.
Easy to get around, shop, etc. Good grocery stores and gas stations nearby. Quick access to 75. Mostly chain restaurants but clean and high quality. Easy to get to SMU, North Park.
