Affordable studio

Basic studios that are clean. Small sizes and kitchens. Most of the units face other buildings. Haven't had a ton of issues. Had a noisy neighbor but otherwise sound hasn't been a huge issue. Gym is really only one treadmill. Easy walk to school.

Basic needs met at a good value

I chose this apartment when there was a two-month rent-free deal which lowers the cost by $200 per month for a 12-month lease. The building itself is quite old and not fancy, but you get basic amenities at a reasonable price. There is a small gym, some storage space for bikes, again, not extravagant, but not terrible. I love that the location is close to transit and extremely convenient for me as a northwestern med student. The management is very responsive and things get fixed within 24 hours. The doorman is really nice. There are some issues like the elevator being small and has gotten stuck, the bathroom tending to stay quite humid because there is no bathroom fan, but that has not happened outside of the summer months. My room faces an alleyway, so the temperature can get hot in the summer, but it is also quite warm in the winter, which is nice. Overall I am satisfied with what I got for the price.

211 E. Delaware

This is a much more affordable place, but is smaller than other studio options. The whole building is only studios, and overall is pretty nice.

Good, but the management company could be better!

The apartment is great, but I've had difficulty getting responses from the management company on a number of issues. Also, the laundry machines break down pretty frequently and aren't fixed for a few days.

Really Beautiful Studio Apartment

This is the perfect studio apartment for me - it's in my price range (although maybe a little more than I wanted to spend) and in the best area of town and has an amazing layout so it doesn't exactly feel like a studio. I fell in love with it at first sight.

Enjoyable

I enjoy living at 211 E. Delaware Place. The location is great and close to a lot of amazing restaurants and shopping. It is easy to walk to the loop for work and shopping and restaurants on the weekend. The sundeck and laundry room are also nice amenities at my apartment building.

Great Apartment for Single Person

This place is great for a single individual. There is the perfect amount of space in the studio apartment, and the great part is that it does not cost extra for a pet! There is a gym on the top floor, as well as a patio that has great lake and city views! Overall, a very pleasant place to live

Perfect Place to Live

211 E Delaware is in the perfect location, in a safe neighborhood that is close to literally everything! There is a gym, and the apartments have hard-wood floors, stainless steel appliances, and a dishwasher. The only downside, is it is a little expensive, but you pay for the awesome location! And cats are allowed at no additional cost/fee!

Streeterville Reviews

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.
I enjoy living in Streeterville since it's near many of Chicago attractions without feeling overwhelming like in the Loop. I am able to walk around safely at night and I like going jogging in Millennium Park. My biggest complaint would be the lack of greenery in the area and how the city can feel a little bit insulating at times. Public transportation is great. This area is pricey, which is why I decided to have a roommate.
The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. Its become a great place for professionals who enjoy living downtown, but without the club crowds in River North.
There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.
While on the expensive end in Chicago, streeterville is safe, has all the necessities (look for apts near grocery stores if you don't have a car!!), is super close to school (and most feinberg students so convenient for socializing), and is super close proximity to restaurants and bars.
This building is located in the center of everything you could possibly need. Whole foods and Jewel within walking distance, easy to get to the lake front, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The only down side is that it does not really have a "neighborhoody" feel.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
