Great amenities and social life
E2 is the best place in Evanston for social life given the huge density of students in the building.

Awesome amenities and updated units
We got a great deal on our E2 apartment! It's a great size for a 1bed/1bath with lots of storage space and extra storage lockers for rent. All apartments have huge windows for lots of natural lights and appliances are nice and updated. The communal area amenities are great too - we've particularly loved having the grills to use when the weather is nice. Management and maintenance respond really fast to requests/emails.

Expensive but worth it
My roommate and I got the last two bedroom unit available for an Aug 1 move in and E2 uses dynamic pricing, so I feel like our rent is very overpriced. That said, I am so happy to be in this building. There are literally hundreds of Kellogg students living here so it’s been very helpful in meeting people and making friends, and the pool was awesome in the summer. The walk to the Hub is about 20 minutes and there’s almost always someone else walking from E2 at the same time so I’d have walking buddies for different classes. Internet and cable are included, and the internet isn’t always the best. Otherwise I have no complaints. Management is super responsive, the few issues I’ve had with my unit have all been addressed within 24 hours.

Expensive for what it is
The good: central location (20min walk to campus, 5 minute walk to downtown Evanston and the metra), lots of Kellogg students in the building, has all of the basic amenities you would expect from a lux building (washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, small gym). It also is generally pretty quiet between apartments - I never heard noise from my neighbors. However, the walls within the apartment are very thin - so if you have roommates, keep that in mind.
The bad: the front desk and doormen are often either incompetent or rude. Almost all the Kellogg students I know at E2 have had at least one negative experience with the doormen being rude to them (such as purposely not helping residents unlock their doors), or packages being misplaced or mishandled. Also, it's worth mentioning that the square footage is quite tiny in many units. I am in the largest 2b/2ba layout in E2, and my bedroom is less than 100 square feet.

Great for Kellogg Students
Space is tight, rent is high, the front desk is rarely manned, and it's about a 20 minute walk to campus, but a lot of Kellogg students live in the building meaning a lot of social events and even club or group meetings happen at E2 which makes it a fun and convenient place to live if you want to be close to other students. It's also a quick walk to downtown Evanston and several other apartment buildings in the area that students live in. And the apartments and amenities are very nice and updated.

Good
Nice place to live. Nice amenities, clean, new design and construction, large layouts. Just not really worth the price they're charging. If it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper per month it'd be excellent.

Poor management, great location
Overall disappointed in E2! While it presents itself as a luxury apartment building, the appliances are terrible, the staff is rude, and the elevators break often. Can’t beat living so close to all your classmates, but I wish I would lived somewhere else the last two years.

Kellogg's Unofficial Dorm
Coming from a coastal city with far higher cost of living, E2 has been great for us to afford two bedrooms as a couple. My partner uses the second bedroom as a work-from-home office during COVID, and that's been critical while also taking virtual classes in the main living area.
Amenities are great and onsite parking is a plus, although it costs extra. Biggest downside is noise, but that's the tradeoff with the biggest upside - hundreds of other Kellogg students live in E2 and it's incredibly easy to get ad hoc groups together any time of day / week for social events.

Downtown Evanston Reviews
Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
