Great amenities, close to subway and bus stop. I never had problems with the management. Elevators can be slow sometimes.

1500 locust
Not the best value in Philadelphia, but a very solid building. We love our apartment - tons of space with w/d in unit, hardwood, and a nice kitchen. My only complaint is that the elevators are exceptionally slow. Lots of cool Wharton people live in the building, the gym is great, and there are several great bars/restaurants nearby.

Highly recommend 1500 Locust
Awesome building with quality amenities and friendly management.

Expensive for what it is
1500 Locust has been hyped up as one of the more popular luxury apartment buildings in Philadelphia, but its overpriced for what you get and there are a lot of newer, better luxury apartments near Rittenhouse Square.

Great apartment
Great roof and amenities but a fit far from campus. Management company very responsive.

Great Building. Great Amenities. Ok Management
1500 Locust is an ideal location, surrounded by restaurants, bars and shopping in the heart of Rittenhouse Square and Center City. Many of the apartments have been renovated with hardwood floors, new appliances and fixtures and the rooftop, pool and gym are great amenities that we use daily. The elevators are incredibly slow, which somewhat surprisingly grows to become more and more annoying the longer you live with it. Maintenance and management are also hit or miss, but generally pretty attentive. My suggestion would be to document every single interaction you have with them. Any email, phone call, conversation, maintenance request, or lack of response.
Biggest downfalls here are the management team and the elevators, but otherwise this is pretty great property.

Love the Pool and Amenities
1500 Locust is very posh. I'm happy with the location, but it's a bit expensive for the size. One bedroom and one bath is perfect for me, but the price is a bit much. I love the amenities though, the pool is a nice touch. Overall, everything is very modern and updated, which I suppose is better than living in a rowhome with converted apartments.

Great building
1500 Locust is a clean and well-located building with a great staff. The front desk are especially helpful and friendly. I love the location and being central to it all. The amenities are superb and I especially love the roof deck and gym. One of the main downsides is the number of Wharton students in the building, who can be disruptive at times.

Great experience
I love living here. It's safe, comfortable and management takes great care of the building. The front desk staff is phenomenal in getting to know you and they look out for you. The only downsides are slow elevators (tolerable), noise from bars on the street (get ear plugs), and noise issues with neighbors due to the thin walls (a little nervewracking). Management seems to have difficulty handling some of the disruptive neighbors that play loud music in the middle of the night.

Huge apartment, great location!
I love my apartment! There is a gym, indoor pool, and outdoor rooftop lounge (for the summer). There's also a huge room upstairs for studying, hanging out with friends, or that you can rent out for parties. The office staff and maintenance people are wonderful and respond very quickly to complaints. There are a ton of dining options and nightlife nearby and it is two blocks from Rittenhouse. It is very Septa and PATCO accessible- busses and the metro all within a couple blocks. The only downsides are that it is pricey for a student, parking is not included, although the building does own a garage next door. It also is not pet friendly if that is something you are looking for.

Rittenhouse Square Reviews
Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
