Redwood
The Redwood is good not great. The property is nice enough and a lot of students live there. The appliances are rather outdated and many of our cabinets do not fully close. Maintenance requests eventually get completed but they take some a few days or even weeks to actually show up. Loud noises sometimes travel between apartments but nothing egregious. The fire department next door leads to sirens all night every night, but by now I've gotten used to them.

Most convient location to UMB campus without being in student housing!
The Redwood is great for UMB students because it is a very short walking distance from the campus and offers affordable rent comparable to the area. Location is not as ideal as other parts of the city in terms of not being as walkable to as many restaurants/bars/activity spots as other neighborhoods, but its a short distance from Federal Hill, and Fells Point. Walking distance to the Inner Harbor. Management is responsive to inquiries and friendly. There is some security as a resident because you need to scan a RFID or use an app to open the doors and the elevator, but there have been some issues with non-residents loitering in and wandering the building. We are directly next door to a fire station so sirens are a near constant.

Convenient Location
Although my apartment was spacious and updated, it was extremely loud because the windows were old and large.

Best Case Scenario
Living at The Redwood has been a generally positive experience. The rent is a good deal for the space and the location could not be better. Living only a few minutes from the law school has been the best benefit. I am able to come home for lunch, to grab a textbook I forgot, or get home quickly after a late class all within a short 3-minute walk. There is a gym downstairs, coffee machine in the lobby, outdoor terrace, and in-unit washers/dryers.
The only major complaints I have are that it is sometimes difficult to get in contact with the maintenance group if you need a repair made to your room. However, the apartment has just recently been under a new management company, and many of these concerns have been resolved. I don't think there is a better deal out there to get your own bedroom and bathroom this close to the school!

redwood
cheap. close to work. high turnover in front desk and managerial staff. slow maintenance response. but can't beat the price or convenience anywhere else.

Great place
Great place to live. I have lived here for about 3 months now and the area is easy to walk around and the shops have everything you might need. Other than that there's nothing amazing about this but I have been in some awful places that make me appreciate basic.

Baltimore has some fun attractions such as the Inner Harbor and harbor east. It's nice that there are some restaurants nearby such as thai food, Nando Perri, etc. Also, close to several schools in the area including the University of Maryland. It's a convenient place.

Redwood Apartments
The Redwood apartments are in a convenient location to the University of Maryland campus and hospital. The front door is literally two blocks from the hospital main entrance. It's a great option for anyone going to the school or working for the hospital. The apartments themselves really can vary in layout. The 16th floor apartments have nicer kitchens and higher ceilings. The 16th floor hallway even feels more luxurious. The management is pretty good about responding to maintenance requests. The online request system isn't that reliable, so I just ask the front desk to put a request in. They usually get to it within two days if it's not urgent. Having someone 24 hours at the front desk is great and gives me peace of mind for any packages being delivered. I don't hear too much noise from neighbors. It's quite minimal. I get city sounds, but I think it depends on which way your windows face. Overall, Redwood is a great deal if you're trying to live downtown and the University of MD campus!

The Redwood is top notch
I have only ever had a great experience living here at the redwood. It's in a prime location (right near downtown, camden yards, raven stadium). There's parking in an adjacent garage, a nice gym, a beautiful 9th floor rooftop terrace overlooking the city, and just overall great staff that are SO helpful and kind. Highly recommend living here!

The Redwood
The Redwood Apartments are great apartments located blocks from Camden Yards and the Baltimore Harbor. It has a great location but can be noisy at times as it is located directly next to a fire department as well. The staff at The Redwood apartments are very approachable and helpful. Overall, it is a nice place to live.
