Great apartment, meh management
The leasing office of this building needs some help. The turnover is so fast – I've lived here for a year and seen at least 10 employees come in and out. Sometimes, the valet trash service picks up trash, and sometimes it doesn't. The apartment is so nice, and any maintenance requests are fulfilled within 24 hours. The maintenance and other building staff are also incredible. But FYI, this is a PUBLIC parking garage! Tenants get permits to park in certain spots, but this parking garage is accessible to anyone through the Dunkin' Donuts entrance. If you care about having your car in a secure garage, look elsewhere. I have had no issues, but if you have a motorcycle/bike that could be picked up and stolen, it's probably best not to live here. The pool gets sun until about 2-3pm, and it's small but great. The gym is awesome. Overall, I love this apartment, but it comes with its drawbacks.

Check your floor number
We used to think APT number like 2004 is on the third floor, but actually it’s on the ground floor of building 2. Check before signing up the contract.

Good and quite place
It is a good place to rent but ridiculously expensive (although I believe thats most of Durham). Our home is big and spacious with enough storage space and an incredible kitchen. Life at the Flats is quite, but whats great is that it’s close the Heights and Belmont (about 5 min walk) where are the parties are at. So you can party then and when your done go back home to you quite apartment:). The only big complaint was the trash shute in the beginning, it smelled horrid! But it seems to be better now.
