Note 16 Apartments

I've had a very positive experience as a resident at Note 16 Apartments. Management was a little hard to get in touch with during the lease application process but since moving in they have been incredibly friendly and very responsive! Rent is definitely pricey for someone living alone on a graduate student stipend but the proximity to Vanderbilt campus as well as some local cafes & restaurants makes it well worth it. There's a small apartment gym in the lobby, covered parking, and a handful of nice communal areas to enjoy. My only complaints have been thin walls (I mostly have issues with hearing my upstairs neighbor) and somewhat limited storage space (1 bedroom closet, no bathroom or hall closets). Overall a really lovely place to live!

Note 16

Location: Very near to Peabody college, but doesn't have any bus/store/grocery scores nearby. Convenient to go to school if you study in Peabody, but not convenient for living.
Price: High, doesn't match with the facilities and service.
Experience: Very noisy if living near street, the sliding door and floor are not sound-proof completely.
Service: Not following the waiting list and didn't get notification when the room visited was rent. Gym is super small. Maintenance comes quick.

Good location and apartment

Neighborhood is quiet, residential, and walking distance to campus. Apartment is nice with decent amenities(free coffee, gym, dog run, courtyard). The manager and maintenance have always been responsive. My floor plan has a designated office spacer, which has been great!

I love my apartment!!

Living at Note 16 is amazing. The building is quite new (I think less than 5 years?). The management staff are really nice and super receptive to anything we need. The location is perfect; it’s on music row, and it’s a 10-15 minute walk to EBL (the med school). The neighborhood is super safe. The parking is a gated garage. There are trash and recycling chutes to use. There’s a dog park with fake grass which is super convenient if you have a dog and don’t have time for a walk! The building is absolutely pet friendly and many other people have pets. The other tenets in the apartment are also really nice and super chill. We’ve never had a problem with noise or anything. There’s a free coffee machine in the lobby which is really nice for morning coffee. The gym is quite nice, and it’s never busy. My ONLY downside for the apartment is the price. While it can be on the pricier side, it’s definitely reasonable if you have a roommate. If you don’t do a 2 bed apartment, the studio and 1 bed are pretty reasonable as well.

Note16 Review

I love Note16! There are great amenities, it's quiet, the neighborhood is really safe, and it's only a 10 minute walk from Peabody College. Carter Hasten Management took over in August 2022. Since then, they've been making a lot of improvements and renovations. These have been really nice (upgraded dog park, upgraded elevator, exterior repaint, etc.) but they've been going on for months, and have become really inconvenient/annoying recently. Additionally, with the new management, parking is no longer included in the monthly rent (it's an extra $50/month) and pet rent increased by $120/year.

Note 16

The apartment building is very well maintained and all residents are friendly and quiet. Management is very responsive to any concerns and maintenance requests are done quickly. The proximity to campus is the best part about Note 16- it is about a 5 minute walk to Peabody. The main con of living in Note 16 is that the rent is extremely high (though about on-par with other apartment buildings in the area).

Nice property, bad management

This property was great until the management changed. They began charging extra random fees with vague explanations and will add fees onto statements frequently.

Note 16

I would recommend Note 16 Apartments. It is situated in Edge Hill, a quiet neighborhood connected to Music Row. The location is a ~15 minute walk to Owen, accessible to Hillsboro Village, Midtown and Downtown. The building itself only has ~75 units, so it is quiet. The gated, underground parking is a nice amenity. The units are a fair size and most units come with a balcony. Maintenance is responsive. There is a small gym. In comparison to other buildings, I think it is more expensive - especially since utilities are not included.

Note 16

Expensive but worth it to me. Ten minute walk to class. Right off Music Row. Has a dog park that is secure. Locked parking garage. Keypad entry.

About Edgehill

If you ain’t nothing but a hound dog… Music Row could be just the place for you. That is an Elvis reference, of course. A fitting introduction for Music Row, as he did record over 200 songs here at RCA Studio B, which would be a great place to take your friends and family for a tour, as they trickle...

Midtown is a great location! Being close to campus and the bar/restaurant scene is great for your 20's. I highly suggest it.
Young professional neighborhood with closeby restaurants, coffee shops. Walkable to campus
You're so close to so many areas. You can walk to Hillsboro, Midtown, Edgehill, Demonbreun, and if you really want, the Gulch. 12 south, 8 south, and downtown are also really accessible.
Short walk to school, safe neighboorhood, good food nearby, shopping is great. Easy to walk anywhere, 10-15 minute walk from almost anything.
Midtown is a young, lively, exciting place to live! There are lots of bars and restaurants as well as students!
It's relatively safe because it's close to Belmont and all the students are here.
Music Row is such a cool area to walk around and is fairly safe!
The neighborhood is fairly quiet, although there are plenty of occasionally rowdy Airbnb guests that roam the streets on the weekends. The street I live on is nice, but my roommate's car has been broken into twice.
