Maplewood
Units are very clean. Bedrooms are a bit small, but the common areas are open and spacious. Residents also get access to the gym that is located in the main leasing office building, which is convenient in the winter when you don't want to walk to the University's gyms. However, management can be unresponsive to maintenance requests.

Our lease started a month into the school which stressfully forced us to sublet while also getting acclimated with classes.

Maplewood Townhouse review
The Townhouses are nice and has most of the things you need such as washer and dryer in house, central heating/air conditioning, dishwasher and stove, etc. The management is slow to responding to most issues, however your interaction with them is limited so it does not affect your day to day life.

Great!
really enjoy living in Maplewood. This is my second year here and it is super easy and convenient. The buildings are only 2 yeras old so everything works well and is clean!

Looks nice. Sloppily finished. Management is slow to react. Maintenance is not very quick or attentive.

Could be much better
Apartment is poorly put together, management may be the most inept people I have ever dealt with, the garbage and recycling are inadequate for the size of the property. The recycling dumpsters fill up a day or two after they are emptied and people just throw stuff around the dumpsters.

Maplewood
Of the two main apartment complexes Johnson students tend to live at, I'm glad I chose Maplewood as it was the right fit for me.
Collegetown Terrace has a better gym, more of a party/dorm-like vibe, and has a shuttle to campus that absolutely comes in handy.
Maplewood is a little bit further away, but the units are newer/larger and feel more upscale. As an older student, this made the adjustment back to student life feel a little less jarring. I also love that pets are welcome, so there is a vibrant community of dog owners here. It's quiet and spacious
Cons of Maplewood: Management is slow to respond when you need something fixed, Recycling/Garbage bins are on opposite sides of the complex so it's annoying to toss things, not a lot of restaurants near by.
