Mixed bag
Location is the best besides Park Evanston. Management is horrible, and I personally got stuck in the elevator. Rent is outrageous. Very convenient for group meetings (I've had very few that aren't at the hub at places that aren't E2). This was one of the main reasons I decided to live there. The community that on a cold night you can just go down a couple floors is key. If you're willing to spend $$ it's still one of the best options. Would have considered Centrum instead but I don't regret living in E2.

E2 townhomes are the way to go
The E2 townhomes are the best kept secret. More room than the apartments, individual entrance to the street (underrated given the speed of the elevators), and cheaper per person than most other places in E2!

Not worth your money
Location is not great.
Elevators are frequently damaged.
Internet connection is down very often.
Nice amenities and finishings - Too expensive for what it is.

Amenities are awesome!
E2 has great amenities and is a modern building. Sometimes dealing with management can take longer than necessary, so please be aware of that. At times, an elevator will break down which makes it tough to get up and down floors with fewer operational elevators.

Pretty nice
Very expensive for what I'm getting and have had trouble getting responses from the management team.

Nice amenities, expensive for apt size
Great to have easy access to pool during summer / late spring months and 4th floor common room for group work (though common area internet is spotty). Nice to have packages received but much more convenient in east tower. If I could do it again, probably would have gone with Centrum if i needed a one year lease to pay less or Optima Horizon to get way more for my money (have heard some people have 2 Bed / 2 Bath for the same price as my 1 Bed / 1 Bath at E2)

Best Idea
Living in an E2 Townhouse has the benefit of the E2 social scene and amenities without the pain point of the elevators. However, there is an ongoing confusion with US Postal Service and the Doormen about how to exactly list your mailing address. Additionally, the E2 Townhouse is on the ground floor which does not allow for a lot of privacy.
On the other hand, E2 Townhouse is the perfect place to host friends, as the entire first floor is public space and all bedrooms are on the second and third floors.

Downtown Evanston Reviews
Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
