Great...but expensive
E2 is nice. The units are new and clean, the amenities are great, the apartments have good storage and wonderful temperature control. That said, it's one of the most expensive buildings in the area. It's a safe bet for people who want a consistent experience, but in terms of value there are better options.

High end look and feel built at a budget price
The building is nice and looks new, modern and clean but it's clear that many things about the layout and such don't make sense and also that all the appliances, although they look good are actually pretty cheap and not the best in terms of functionality. Still great to live in, especially if you want something new and modern!

Overpriced, decent location, incompetent management
Loads of Kellogg students live here which is nice / convenient, but the apartment units, especially studios/1brs, are extremely overpriced and not worth the value. Apartments lack storage space and finishes are cheap. Elevators seem to break at least once every other week. Management was difficult to work with during lease process.

Mostly Good, But Way Overpriced
TL;DR: The cost of E2 does not really align with what you get.
Yes, the building is new, but there are frequent issues with the ID cards and elevators not working - way more than is reasonable for a building so new.
The gym is comically undersized and not a great substitute if you're counting on it to avoid paying a gym membership elsewhere. They close a lot of the shared spaces down arbitrarily at 10PM - there's really no reason to do so.
You have to rent out the theater and the "party room" (really just another shared space).
Parking is massively overpriced considering they have lots of spare spaces.
The floor areas of the apartments are smaller than in other buildings in Evanston.
All in all, you're paying for modern, new accommodations close to campus, but you're overpaying and in lots and lots of small ways it begins to feel like a rip-off.

Great experience!
I love living at E2! My apartment is set up great and is small, but the perfect size for one person! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the amenities are great!

Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
