great place!

little pricey but super close to school, and located right above a metro stop. the bus stop is right in front of the apartment building so it is perfect if you don't have a car and want quick, easy transport to school!

Park Place at Petworth Metro Review

These are fairly nice apartments close to NMSU, shopping, and interstate access. They are cheap and it shows in some areas. The staff is nice, but I have had some issues with maintenance requests. I plan on living here for a while longer because it is cheap, convenient, and fairly nice.

Conveniently Located Right Above Metro

It is super easy to hop onto the green or yellow line because it is right about the Georgia Ave.-Petworth Metro station. This makes it especially desirable during the winter months when it tends to be frigid.

No utilities are included in the rent, which is a little bit of a bummer. Also, the management is lacking. However, the apartment complex is clean and the roof top is phenomenal.

On Top of Petworth Metro Stop

The convenience of living AT Petworth Metro stop is definitely a factor of why I'll stay here. Very clean apartments and attentive management. The rooftop is to die for! Great to socialize with friends and grill out. Definitely missing a pool, but realize space is an issue. Overall pleased!

Convenient

Park Place is very convenient as it is right above the Georgia Ave.-Petworth metro station. The front desk staff is always super friendly and get to know you by name. It is a little pricey, being a young professional, but honestly it is on par with most of DC housing. The main lobby is beautiful and the apartment as a whole is great. The only thing that I would suggest is painting the walls as the paint they use gets marks on it very easily. But I suppose all apartment complexes us the cheapest paint possible. Would highly recommend!

Petworth

Place is nice and brand new. The metro is really really close and super convenient, plus a grocery store and other services are just down the block. The front desk people are really nice and helpful and there are community events which are cool. Is a little expensive though.

Great building on the metro

Great building to live in with great views from certain apartments and the rooftop. There are grills and ample seating on the roof, a part room, business center and gym. The people who work at the front desk are nice and generally helpful.

The area around the building is developing with a brand new Safeway and some bars and restaurants.

Georgia Avenue/Petworth

The best feature of the apartment is that it is literally located just above the Georgia Ave Metro stop (I live on the first floor and cannot hear the trains--the parking garage below separates the trains from the building). I can get to GW in about 35-40 minutes by taking the green/yellow line to Chinatown and then transferring to the red line and getting off at Farragut North. The building itself is relatively new. The lobby is very modern and kind of strange, but the apartments themselves are nice, the building is pet friendly, and the concierge and maintenance staff are wonderful. I have made good friends there. One downside is that it is expensive. I believe most one bedrooms are in the low $2000s and 2 bedrooms start at around $2600 (don't quote me on that). The neighborhood is great. There is a wonderful local coffee house down the street (Qualia Coffee) and a new Safeway opened up one block away. We are close enough to walk to Target in Columbia Heights, and there are some great restaurants on 11th street.

Petworth Reviews

Petworth is in transition between a slightly run-down forgotten neighborhood and awesome! While that's kind of a mixed bag in terms of housing quality, safety, things to do, etc. we find it very exciting. There are a few little playgrounds in the neighborhood and we enjoyed taking walks anywhere and everywhere - the zoo is less than an hour's walk away if you're feeling really adventurous! It seems like a new local business pops up every few weeks, the library has plenty of great programming, the neighborhood has a strong sense of community - highly recommend to a roommate group that wants to share a big row house, families with younger kids, and those who want to live in a quirky always-changing part of the city.
Lots of cute restaurants, bars, and friendly people once you give it a chance
It is quiet, generally safe, and in a convenient place in town.
Petworth/Columbia Heights has a large Salvadorian population that give the area a lot of character. There are a good number of underrated, low key bars within walking distance.
Nice neighborhood. Living right on Georgia avenue next to the metro comes with some noise and safety issues.
I love my neighborhood
Living close to a metro station is great for the commute. We also live right next door to Safeway. But it's on Georgia Ave which often feels like a highway in the mornings and cars zoom by at 40miles and hour and often runs the red lights. We also live right next to a Wendy's so I can hear drunk people's after the club food orders at 1am. There is a lot of noise at all times of the night.
The immediate surrounding area is pretty safe; however, I still won’t walk to school because of the amount of men that linger on Georgia Ave throughout the day/night. I walk freely and w/o concern a couple blocks inevery direction. Streets are usually very populated
