Great Apartment
Walkable distance to Wake Forest University campus & wfu shuttle service to campus is also available. The property management & maintenance team are quick to respond.

Crowne Polo is great!
I live alone in a one-bedroom/one-bathroom with my two cats. Crowne Polo is very close to campus with 20-minute walk access or less than 10 minutes driving. It also is a stop on the Black and Gold bus line to campus. The management is great-very communicative and responsive. The maintenance team is also awesome and trustworthy. The apartment is spacious and up-to-date. There is lots of parking with no assigned spaces. The complex is gated and is right next to a gas station, many fast food places, grocery stores, and campus.

Nice property, quiet, but awkwardly located for law students.
As a law students at wake, the other crowne property on bethabara would have been a better choice. The walk from polo to the law school is just long enough that its inconvenient, its about 25-30 min when you account for carrying your books. Additionally, you can only enter the complex when travelling north on Silas. If you are coming south, you must drive all the way down to wake rd to make the U-turn and its a pain. Further, the gold line shuttle which comes to polo does not go the law school, but to ZSR which is a far walk from the law school. I am surprised that I was told polo is the "recommended for law students". The black line shuttle which goes to the other crowne property goes to the law school, so that seems like the clear choice.
However, that limits my complaints. The property itself is nice, quiet and private. Feels very safe and secure, and management is very communicative and responsive. Maintenance is also good. I would recommend this property for grad students/upper year undergrads, but again I think law students should go to the bethabara property.

Perfect for Law/Grad Students
I really like Crowne Polo! Any of the Crowne properties are a great choice for Wake grad students. It is nice to live in a community with people who are also in grad school. There are some undergrads too, but I have never had a problem with noise. The apartments are clean and very functional. Really enjoy living here. Polo is great for dog owners because there is a dog park and green space around the exterior of the property! I also feel very safe here and have never had any issues or heard of any issues with safety. The only downfall is only being able to turn right out of the complex. If you want to go left you have to turn right first and then make a U-turn at the light. Overall, I still prefer polo to the other Crowne properties even in light of the U-turn.

Crowne Polo Review
Crowne Polo is conveniently located just around the corner from campus. As a graduate student, this is perfect because I can get to campus quickly while also not feeling overwhelmed by undergraduate students on campus. Crowne Polo's management is super nice and they are quick to respond to concerns or maintenance requests. The complex is in the middle of the woods, making it extra beautiful and secluded. While the rent + cost of utilities is a little high, you get quality appliances and location!

Crowne Polo
Crowne Polo is on the pricier side of apartment options in the Winston-Salem area, but not by a substantial amount if compared to similar complexes. The location, which allows walking to campus, is really nice, as is the complex's being located on the Wake shuttle line. Living here, there's no need to purchase a WFU parking pass! The staff is really kind and helpful, and maintenance concerns are addressed quickly and professionally. The complex features a dog park, car washing station, exercise facility, gated entry/exit, a clubhouse, and a pool. Parking is plentiful and free, and each apartment comes with an outdoor space like a covered patio or balcony. 1, 2, and 3 bedroom floor-plans are available.
