Not fit for purpose
Old building. Heating and cooling is terrible. Kitchens don’t even have ventilators or extractors. Washers and driers don’t work half the time. Study room equipment is obsolete and do not work. This building needs to be torn down.

Evanston Dreamhome
I could not be happier at Foster Street. I knew I'd gotten lucky getting into this building, but I didn't realize how much. Location aside, which cannot be beat, it just feels more like a home. People always want to come here because of the large layouts, balcony...and just how nice the units are. My JV commutes to downtown and there is immediate access to both the EL and the Metra. Having 2 included parking spots (1 covered) is huge, and you don't have to pay anything extra. Ditto for pets. Compare that to a combined ~$200/month at most other places for those two things (and that's assuming you only have 1 car). Every bar and restaurant is easily walkable within 5-15 minutes, and the hub is a 3 minute bike ride or 10 minute walk. I honestly couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

Good Location
Great layout for two people - 2BR/2BA. One bedroom is a bit smaller. Great lighting (Top floor has skylights).
Location has great access to NU campus and downtown evanston

Wonderful Optima Horizons - easy walk, median priced
Optima is a wonderful place to live while at Kellogg. It is the easiest walk to the Hub, while still being in downtown Evanston (I leave 20 minutes ahead of class and get there with time to spare). It is cheaper than the newer, high amenity buildings, while still having a pool/hot tub/full service doorman.

Great for roommates
When searching for an apartment, I often struggled finding floorplans that could accommodate Queen-sized beds in both bedrooms. I discovered that there were more options that fit that need at Optima Horizons than the other apartment buildings in the area.

Excellent Building
The doormen are great and very helpful. The gym is small but satisfactory. The building itself is a little bit old but holds up very nicely. Each unit differs quite a bit given that it is a condo building, but every one I've seen has been great. I love my unit.

OHo is great
OHo is a great alternative to E2 if you are looking to save some money. It is pretty much the closest building to the Glub (15 min walking if you're bookin it) and has plenty of amenities without the ridiculously high cost of E2. The apartments are all very different so make sure to at least check out pictures of your unit before you sign, but we have found management to be pretty responsive. There are definite annoyances like one of the elevators being broken for almost a month, but we haven't had any big issues. We love our apartment!

Great value
Great building, probably the shortest walk to campus compared to other condo buildings. Full service and amenities at a reasonable price point. Lots of other kellogg students live here as well. Centrally located.

Great value for money
Overall it has been a great place to live in. Lot's of Kellogg students.
We have a wall to wall carpet, which at first we didn't like that much, but it turns out to be great for young kids who tend to fall a lot. Try to look for 1 bedroom + den.
The downside is that in one side of the building the train is a bit noisy.
The gym here is not really relevant, but there is a great gym about 30 seconds from here.

Downtown Evanston Reviews
Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
