Great location; spacious with included parking
We've been very happy with Optima Horizons. It's reasonably priced (given that internet, cable, water, gas, and a parking space is included), and very walkable to downtown Evanston, the Davis train station, and Kellogg hotspots. Many students live in the building as well. Having a front desk is also nice for deliveries and packages. It is dog friendly, although they don't really allow you to take your dog out anywhere on the property, which can be a pain. Our view of the sunset is fantastic.

The Right Balance
Optima Horizons has a good mix of proximity to downtown and the Global Hub. There are a lot of Kellogg students who live in the building, which is great. I also love that my rent includes all utilities and 2 parking spaces, which really makes it a great deal.

Amenities are very nice
The building itself is great. The amenities are awesome. And there are a lot of Kellogg students so you always run into friends in the halls. It feels incredibly safe. The doorpeople can be a little strict about noise and some of the older residents can be grumps but in general its a great spot to live and very easy to get to campus.

Fully satisfied with my choice
I have very satisfied about my choice. The condo is not the newest in town, yet it is kept very clean, management office is responsive and nice. Optima Horizon has made my transition very easy and efficient.

Happy Kellogg Student
This is the best apartment for Kellogg students and JVs to stay in. Great community within the apartment building, good amenities and decent pricing. Happy I am here--no regrets!

Solid apartment choice
My wife and I rent a 1 Bedroom + Den in Optima Horizons. Each unit can be very different (condo building), but ours is nice as it has new appliances and hardwood floors. As with every condo building, unit owners can be great or not so great. Ours is relatively unresponsive and the building management is not that good. But it is a solid price, solid amenities and is more spacious than other high rise apartment buildings.

Great location, best apt for large breed dog owners
Large apartments, great views, attentive staff. Also one of the few buildings that doesn’t charge pet rent and allows large dogs (most buildings in Evanston don’t allow more than 30 lbs!)

Great location and plenty of students
Love the location (one of the closer buildings to campus, while still close to downtown Evanston)

Expensive but worth it
While certainly not cheap, Optima Horizons provides good value for an apartment building with amenities because it includes internet, cable, water, and parking. Additionally, for someone interested in living alone, I highly recommend this building because there will be so many other Kellogg students living there as well. It has the convenience of a dorm, with much more privacy.

Downtown Evanston Reviews
Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
