Great option with a lot of Kellogg students
Nice, affordable option compared to some other apartments in downtown Evanston. There are a lot of Kellogg students and the location is convenient both to the Glub and downtown. Some issues with the appliances, and the two year lease with no option to sublet is a bit restrictive

Good value for your money
We picked this building because it's as close to the Hub as possible but still right in downtown Evanston. The building is good but not as nice (or as expensive) as some of the newer condo buildings with more amenities. Units are fairly soundproof which is nice. Lots of other Kellogg students live here. Two year leases only, so not suitable for 1Ys.

Depends on Unit
The units in this building differ significantly based on whether the condo owner has updated. However, rents don't seem to vary too much throughout the building so be on the lookout for units with updated hard wood floors versus the disgusting original carpets. Also the penthouse level apartments aren't that much more expensive and are significantly more spacious. Finally, the walls are extremely thin so if you are planning on having a roommate you should seriously consider a layout where the rooms do not share a wall.

Top Floor
Building is one of the closest to the Kellogg Global Hub; has a great staff and is relatively nice to live in. Kitchen/bathrooms are a bit older generally, but do the job.

Double Couple
It’s great. My wife and I are both students and it’s in between campus and downtown Evanston. The location is convenient for class and hanging out. The included parking space is great for our car. The apt is small, but we don’t spend that much time in it.

Perfect Place to meet Kellogg students
Optima Horizons is a great building because there is a lot included in rent and it is about 50% Kellogg students. I met some of my closest friends through Optima Horizons. Since they are condos, if there is an issue with your apartment you have to reach out to your landlord which can be a pain. Our landlord is not always the most responsive but thankfully we have never had a big problem.

A great option in Evanston
East-facing views are beautiful. Great value for money, and convenient to Downtown Evanston and Northwestern.

Great place to stay but two year lease
If you are not here during the summer, then a two year lease with no sub-lease is a negative. Also, no group study room.
But, other than that, love the property. A LOT of kellogg students here, and a generally quiet place. The apartments are beautiful too.

Downtown Evanston Reviews
Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
