Enjoyed!

I enjoy living where I live. It's not too far from Rittenhouse, but it's also quiet and removed enough to feel like it is in its own space. I also enjoy living near Logan Square.

Great if you want to be a little farther from Rittenhouse!

Awesome space and management. Not that many Wharton students in the building. No common space for social events within building.

A hidden gem

This used to be a popular "Wharton" building. We got a 2B2B and absolutely love it. The location might seem far for a lot of people who never venture beyond Market street, but in fact, it is really convenient:
- commute to school via trolley at 19th and Market: the apartment is <5min walk to the trolley. The trolley comes every 2-3min. This is a more economical, reliable option than Uber, and you'd be grateful when winter comes
- more on location: a 7-11 in the building, a Rite-Aid right across the road, 3~4 blocks from Trader Joe's, 2 blocks to Wawa, 3 blocks to Target, walking distance to Whole Foods, 3 blocks to the liquor store. Has a restaurant downstairs in the same building.
- gym: just renovated, not crowded at all
- noise insulation: the building is opposite to a construction site but we hear absolutely nothing in our apartment
- value proposition: it's larger (ours is 1100 sq ft+) and cheaper. Room layout is great, we have walk-in closet and ensuite bathrooms for both bedrooms
- service: the service here is simply the best, the property management gets service awards every year. The leasing office and the concierge are both really helpful. They organize great resident activities - donut day / pretzel day / holiday parties in the lobby with open bar and great food

Downsides:
- a bit far to 2401 Walnut and the pub relative to other buildings (a 15min walk)
- no lounge or pool (only gym + conference room)
- utilities not included, during winter heating is done through the air-con, so electricity becomes more expensive

Phenomenal living situation

This is a beautiful apartment building which is located in the old Alexander Graham Bell telephone company building. Because of this, it's extremely spacious and extremely quite. My apartment has beautiful high ceilings and a lot of room. The staff is extremely good, from the front door to the management to the maintenance. I know a handful of other residents, all of whom are extremely courteous and friendly. Most people who live here are working professionals or have small families. The location is phenomenal - right near the Benjamin Franklin Parkway (Art Museum, Barnes, Whole Foods) as well as close to the train and trolley. The gym is small but functional - could use some updating but is well maintained. Amenities are not included and the rent has gone up since I first moved, but I have no intention of moving any time soon.

Very spacious, high ceilings

Very comfortable, easy to clean, great management. Nearby construction has not bothered me when windows are closed. It lacks a little bit of sunlight, especially in the bedroom. Two blocs from the trolley.

Easily the best value for money in Center City

Huge 840 sqft apt, right outside trolley line on 19th and Market. Get to school in 12 mins. In unit washer/dryer. Stainless steel appliances. Temperature control in apt. is amazing. 24 hr door man, maintenance team really quick to fix stuff. Building management super friendly and always willing to help. A lot of my classmates have commented that my building is far and away the best apt. building they've seen in CC.

Loved the neighborhood. Paying for monthly parking in a nearby garage was not outrageously expensive, was close to center city for fun and errand-running, Target and Whole Foods nearby made for easy groceries when I didn’t want to leave the city. Sabrina’s Cafe is nearby, which is super delicious. BSL was about an 8 minute walk to either Spring Garden or Race-Vine, depending on if I was going north or south. Great area for walking around and getting out of your apartment.
The apartment is technically between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. We live right above Trader Joe's, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. We spend a lot of time walking around Rittenhouse Square and Rittenhouse neighborhood to pick up groceries, drink coffee, and generally hang out with each other and friends. The river walk is a short walk away, and the Museum District is within walking distance. Back when I was going to school regularly, the Septa trolley stop is conveniently right in front of our apartment and the 30th Street Station is a 10 minute walk away. While the amenities leave some things to be desired and we pay a premium for our location, it is a great place to live especially for newcomers to Philadelphia who want to be next to all the action.
Unless you mind the noise of cars in the street below, you will not have any issues. Given that is center city there are many people experiencing homelessness so if that is a deal breaker I recommend other neighborhoods. The upside is being 5-10 minutes distance from all the fun, restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc.. that you will ever need.
Super close to Whole Foods and Trader Joes, and I love the walk along the parkway. It's close to various museums which is great! Overall the neighborhood is pretty residential, but there are coffee shops and to-go restaurants that are easy to access.
The neighborhood is a little more commercial but only a minute away from everything wonderful in rittenhouse. But it feels very safe at all times because it’s on a major street.
It is a great location. The law school is a 15 minute walk. Most of Center City is also within a 20 minute radius. A lot of other law students live nearby.
Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. One of the safest and nicest areas in Philly. There are generally lots of people walking around.
Close to tons of great places to eat/drink, shop, etc. Walking distance to anything in Center City/Callowhill/Art Museum areas.
