Love OHO!
I've really enjoyed living in Optima Horizons. Great location and a lot is included in rent (storage, parking, washer/dryer, doorman, gym, cable, internet).

Solid apartment choice
My wife and I rent a 1 Bedroom + Den in Optima Horizons. Each unit can be very different (condo building), but ours is nice as it has new appliances and hardwood floors. As with every condo building, unit owners can be great or not so great. Ours is relatively unresponsive and the building management is not that good. But it is a solid price, solid amenities and is more spacious than other high rise apartment buildings.

Perfect place to live for grad school
I am extremely satisfied with my Optima Horizons apartment. It’s spacious, I have an attentive landlord, building management is very responsive (albeit strict on things like summer subletting), and I like the amenities. Price is still higher than it should be for Evanston but way cheaper than a major US city for what you get. Each unit is different so you should shop around to find the right unit set up for you.

Great location and plenty of students
Love the location (one of the closer buildings to campus, while still close to downtown Evanston)

Optima Horizons - Unit Review
We have a spacious apartment with 2 bed rooms and 2 bathrooms on the 10th floor. Each unit is different at Optima and ours unfortunately has wall to wall carpeting. However it is easy to keep clean and is quiet. The kitchen is a good size but a little small when 2 people are cooking. The bedrooms are fairly different in size so that is another issue to talk through before moving in. Overall though, the apartment is incredibly convenient to get to Evanston and the Jake and it is fun living in a building with so many Kellogg students.

Great Location with Modern Furnishings in High Rise Condo
Great location and amenities as it's about a 8-9 minute walk from the current Jake and will be a ~15 minute walk from the new building. The concierge staff is very friendly and receives / sends packages / dry cleaning as required. We get a ton of sunlight and beautiful sunsets, and the apartment has modern furnishing (granite countertops, etc).

Good comfortable building, less than ideal management
My roommate and I really like our apartment. It's comfortable and modern. We often host dinners / small group events at our place. Please note that because this building is all condos, individual units are different from each other.
The building has a small gym (ok enough for the winter days), an indoor pool, and a (not appealing) community room. There is also a patio with a couple grills which is great for the warmer months. The front desk staff manages package deliveries well.
The front desk staff and the building management have some improvement opportunities though. They change rules randomly (e.g. no more than 10 guests on the patio rule without informing residents) and have a knack for sending cryptic communication that leaves the residents hanging.
Optima Horizons has lots of Kellogg students and is a very conveniently located building. Some of the residents who have lived in the building longer-term are not too fond of MBA students but majority are a hoot.

Downtown Evanston Reviews
Cons: Long walk from the Global hub. Closest grocery store is Whole Foods, a bit of a hike to TJ's and Jewel.
